He does not have manfiold upgrade, runs stock. Side and front cooling stack changed to different, duno the brand.

Well, would going to e30-e40 mix help? I heared going E-blend helps with temps visibly 🤷‍♂️

Manifold upgrade should basically be a prerequisite for a track car. The front cooling stack exchanger barely does anything. The manifold will shed a ton of heat that is entering the head and block from the air charge. It's all an interconnected system that lives in a small little house called the engine bay. Everything adds up.

If a car hits 280F oil temp in one lap in 80F ambient, something is wrong. I'm going to assume it's running way too much boost for the stock turbo/system.

If you really care about heat management, upgrade the system. Here is my recommendation list:

- Intake manifold upgrade
- Additional heat shielding overall
- Ethanol if possible (overall benefits)
- 1000w M/E/ZTK cooling stack fan
- More water than coolant
- A *good* air to water oil cooler if needed (track/environment dependent)

I got all this done on mine except ethanol, still i can hit 280F oil in 2-3 laps. Turbo is pure800 size, but more coolant than water. Water target set to 87c in tune. Maybe should be lower?
Or try e30 mix

As for op, his case may be different than mine.

Peak boost at 5500rpm: 25psi
Peak boost at 6500rpm: 28.5psi
Cooling modifications: Hood vent, Wagner manifold, Do88 aux coolers, engine heat shielding around intake/dp.
Oil and weight: Motul 8100 X-cess Gen 2. 5w40.
Ethanol level: 40%
Ambient temp: 70F
Peak oil temp: 243F
Peak coolant temp: 223F
Peak charge temp: 370F
Peak IAT: 120F

I don't think putting the oil cooler in front of the main heat exchanger stack is really the best location for it.

Ethanol level: no e specific tune, 98 benzin (us 93) +5L E99/tank add on = ~e10. ~461whp
Max temp: 37.5C/100F
Peak oil temp: 143c/290F - after 1 attack lap
Peak coolant temp: 121C/250F
Peak charge temp: -
Peak IAT: 66C/151F
No log.

What else can be done? Run e30 mix?

CAN based display, by no log i mean no logging file like MHD to look at and share here.

In lower air temps i regulary see 270+f oil temps anyway.

So you are doing that all from memory of something you saw on a display? There is no log file of any kind?
I try to provide as much data as i can now.
I plan to include logging after the season with other changes, thats what I got atm.

Attached is a complete 1 track-lap log on 100 RON fuel (EU).

Oil temperature increased from 237°F to 291°F during the lap. Coolant increased from 201°F to 243°F, with a peak of 246°F. IAT increased from 136°F to 158°F and peaked at 176°F.

Manifold boost peaked at 22.6 psi against a maximum target of 21.9 psi. Fuel rail pressure remained around 5,075 psi under load. AFR was generally around 12.1–12.7 during full-throttle boost.

Timing corrections occurred on multiple cylinders and reached approximately -6°.

As suspected, too much boost, too lean. Your IAT's alone are through the roof at 170F+. Also, a ton of limiters happening. Over boosting, throttle closing, too much timing, and on and on and on.

You need to get that high IAT thing sorted. It's pulling so much timing and power at that point. Reducing the boost to a sane level for track use would be the first step.

People try to run way too much boost on track and then wonder why everything is pissed off.

I would find a tuner that focuses more on track tunes, that current tune is... well... interesting.

Mine is from same tuner btw so log MAY look simmilar... And i did tell him i need track focused tune. He was supposed to be "best b58 expert in country". 🤡
