Weā€™ll look what I found after driving around for 7 months. Guess this is still happening even in 2021. Emailed the dealer and demanded they refund me all prep charges.

You'd think Toyota would put out some kind of notice through its dealer network. Of course that doesn't mean every single shop would read it, but at least they should try something.

Welp, looks like I know what I'm doing at my next break.

EDIT: Thank god, mine were properly removed

Just spotted this today. Spacers have been on the car for 12,000 miles smh.

Man that's rough. I'm starting to regret even purchasing my car. I drove nearly as long as you. Luckily mine weren't smashed into the bump stops. But my car is sitting at the dealership for 10 days getting an oil pump replaced and the car still doesn't read its oil levels. Literally a joke,

Seems like a highway safety issue and the government should know that Toyota is leaving these things in. I'd assume if you got in a front collision that the cars crash safety ratings go even further out the door with literal plastic pieces of shit left in the suspension that were supposed to be removed.

Yea man, my car has been to the dealer twice in a month because my coolant tank keeps literally exploding. Pretty sure it's a faulty cap so we'll see if it holds up with the new one.

Lately I was beginning to notice a rather large wheel gap. I finally found the culprit. Keyes Toyota in Van Nuys forgot to remove the shipping spacers for some reason. 2200 miles later and Iā€™m worried I might have damaged something. Whatā€™s the best course of action with something like this? This dealership has been nothing but a pain thus far, and this just adds to the insult. I understand human error dan occur. But at this price point especially with Toyota, Iā€™m bummed.

There's an extremely slim chance something got damaged. You'll be fine. I haven't seen anyone post damage caused by these being left in.

Update: dealer couldn't get me in this week. So I went ahead and removed them myself, they mangled my bump stops a decent bit. Can confirm shipping spacers will cause damage if left on for 12,000 miles lol
