When I said 1000hp would be done in less than a year....some people laughed. Also, Geo from Real Street is already working on getting the MKV Supra in the 10's within a month.

Yes, but he also states during the video that his goal is to reach 1000hp. Ergo, he has faith that this engine is capable of 1000hp with reasonable upgrades.

That sturdy girdle bolted directly on the main caps and the block (total of 5 bolts per main cap technically securing each one of them in place) might put some of your "daily-driven" 1000hp MKV Supra fears at ease....no?

I am curious about the “cracked” or fractured rods he mentions. In terms of rebuilding, there’s not alot you can do with fractured rods. You can’t cut the caps because of the unique break on each one...they are all different. As I understand it, you cannot hone the bore because there are probably very few oversized bearings available. This will be interesting to see when it comes time for bearing upgrades on re-machined cranks for the B58.
