When will you do your first oil change?

I swear people use non oil changes as a political stance against oil companies.

Mine has been changed 3x in 5K miles. The next one will be at 8K for shits & giggles and my Blackstone Report.

@ $60 per change its still less than my Door Dash bill so why the hell not.

There is an episode of the Sitcom Home Improvement that deals with this. Jill lets her Nomad run out of oil and Tim gets mad. The episode is Nothing More Than Feelings, (Season 1 Episode 7) it aired Oct 29, 1991- and I remember watching it as a new episode.

Had the first oil change my son did it for me at 5000 miles not any real particulate in the oil filter and changing it was as easy as changing a baby's diaper. I used Royal Purple.

I believe Toyota says this car can go 10k miles between oil changes like all of their other cars, correct? So that sounds about right. I personally wouldn't wait that long, especially with the type of oil they put in it, but it's personal preference/your willingness to accept the risk. Really depends on how hard you push it.
