Here's XHP shifting during a shutdown at the end of the track...

light gray is RPMs, the step functions are 'current gear.'
is that on stage 2 or 3?
I don't feel any weird issues on stage 2. Never tried stage 3

* Stage 2
* Max RPM
* Always Start in 2nd

that's it.
Don't remember you saying you've tried Stage 3 yet - worried about it putting undue stress on the transmission on the track? Just curious if you'd experience these same issues with that setup (understanding there are already known issues with Stage 3 itself).

Haven't dealt with it. No real reason for it as far as I understand. There's more testing to do.

What's your understanding? Interested on your opinion on running Stage 3 over Stage 2. Have a track day (NCM) coming up in early July and trying to get things on lock for that.

Something I tested yesterday that may be of benefit to others: I had been driving the car around with the transmission set to Sport+ for thousands of miles prior to flashing with xHP. It felt great and was more aggressive than Sport. After flashing Stage 3, I noted rough and lurching shifting, both up and down. It certainly was faster, but felt unpolished. I figured it was just a result of being an early adopter and that things would smooth out as the product matured. After reading some posts in this thread regarding how these cars were never really made to use this mode and reports of how the balance of the car wasn't upset at the track when shifting mid-corner, it I decided to switch back to Sport yesterday and give it it try. The car shifts much smoother now and feels just as fast. The lurching is completely gone and now doesn't upset the car when shifting during long sweepers. It's so much better I actually thought I had encountered another bug and the car had reverted to stock transmission programming. So I flashed it again. Nope. It was just that much smoother.

If you've flashed your TCU using xHP and have your transmission set to Sport+, I highly recommend switching it back to Sport and giving it a try.

I can concur as this is something I just tried myself. Been running stage 3+sport plus transmission for a few thousand miles, just disabled sport plus on transmission and noticed stage 3 not being so violent, and a lot more smooth shifting. Still fast, but not lurchy.

What are folks running these days if they've enabled and increased throttle blips? Does it actually make downshifting faster (i.e., can the rest of the transmission keep up)? Does it really increase the pops and bangs during this process (which are significantly amplified on my car due to the AA catted downpipe and AWE Track exhaust)? I'm hoping for the former, not necessarily the latter.

I'm on stage 3 and v1.1, I have my shift points set to 6300rpms. When ROLLING I've noticed when I activate the kick down, it doesn't shift at 6300rpms. It shifts at stock points.
Anyone else experience this?
It does it sometimes but not all the time.

Yep, there’s a note in the XHP app that says the shift points revert to stock when the kickdown is activated
