We've seen Xinjiang and the other atrocities that has happened......Real talk though, those arenāt real. Never believe anything from China. Itās all propaganda. Please do not fall for communistic news.
I got a better idea my friends, letās just karaoke to Priscilla Chan.
this would make sense after watching this video. October is when the GR Corolla supposedly will be released with an initial number of 90 according to this video. Not sure of course how accurate it is but itās the most seemingly plausible info including a document that seems potentially real. Thatās about the only car I would consider trading my Supra and not looking back for.before someone starts a new thread...

The Manual Toyota GR Supra Is Coming This Summer
Our dreams for the manual option may be coming true this year.
When the Toyota GR Supra was first released to the market in 2019, the one piece of equipment that we all sorely missed was an engaging manual gearbox. The current twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine supplied by BMW is currently only offered with ZF's eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission which is great but detracts from the overall engaging driving experience.
According to Creative 311, a notice that has been sent out to Toyota dealers in Japan adds to the rumor mill of a six-speed manual option. This document states that a manual is coming and that it could be released to its local market by October of this year, with the introduction of the 2023 model year range. The notice is a brief outline of what dealers can expect and is subject to change. Official details will supposedly be released next month.
The notice states that the six-speed manual option will only be available on the flagship RZ trim, known as the Premium in the USA. Despite previous reports stating otherwise, it also hints that the 2.0-liter four-pot option will likely maintain its automatic-only state. To let the people around you know that you're driving a manual Supra, it appears Toyota will be introducing a unique set of 19-inch forged alloys.
The updated Supra range, including the upcoming manual option, will be put together at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria where the BMW Z4 is also assembled. Fans of the current Supra may recall that Toyota confirmed it had built a manual concept strictly for testing purposes and was aware of the demand. Key members of the company hinted that a manual option would never come to reality but it looks like opinions may have changed.
Case and point. No matter what Toyota does, people will always find something wrong with it that is some sort of deal breaker. It's nice to see Toyota finally bring a manual to the Supra, I was getting excited again. But fact is I don't trust Toyota with this car. They've screwed up repeatedly with it. BMW manuals have been less than stellar. Second who knows how they'll package this, maybe some stripper model at first to try and compete with the Z.
ZF8 is a great trans. But it never fit the Supra as an enthusiast car. Don't care if it's faster. In a day and age where we are losing enthusiast cars soon enough to boring silent soulless automatic appliances aka BEVs, I'd want to embrace a manual for the last true driving experience while it's still around, and my stenosis allows it.
It's amazing how the car mecha of the world, Europe, has shifted away from manuals, their exhausts strangled by..., and most of their premier makers saying ICE is done (outside of BMW nicely enough). Golf R gets a manual in the US, but auto only in EU, due to manual uptake in the US. You know, where smug euros claim Americans don't know how to drive stick at one time?
If I was to buy the ZF8 I would buy a M240i, and get more car for the same/less money.
Toyotas list on this the Supra though, to me, has one fault removed at least restricting me from buying it. But it's still lacking a proper wing, no android auto is ridiculous in 2022, sightlines are horrendous and you have to pay for Blindspot, boring paint colors outside of yellow and a nice blue that was stupidly limited. Then the biggest WTF issue showing Toyota doesn't care enough about this car is the buffeting issue where they're just fine letting the customer fix the problem sort of with a $12 piece of rubber or a $150 pieces of plastic. Seriously WTF? Especially for something that is overpriced.
All those issues is what made me not pull the trigger on the new Supra I was amped up for. I was bummed then the new Z came along and I'm very optimistic for it. How does a struggling Nissan out do rich AF Toyota? Probably because they listened to and know their heritage and followers better.
Hopefully the manual is great for those looking now. Hopefully Toyota fixes those other issues. But still to me the most interesting cars Toyota makes are the GR Yaris and hopefully GR Corolla. Crazy that those are the cars that Toyota actually put effort into.
Y'ALL BETTER BUY THIS, I STG WE'VE COME TOO FARbefore someone starts a new thread...

Having owned manual cars for the last 10 years I was a little disappointed I had to settle for auto in the supra, but it's really grown on me. I don't know that I'd rush to the dealer to trade for a manual... especially not given that I'd be going from a tunable 21 to a locked 22/23, or that it would be a struggle to even find a dealer with one in the color I want for MSRP.Y'ALL BETTER BUY THIS, I STG WE'VE COME TOO FAR
This lines up with the video at the start of this thread showing wheels we haven't seen before. To let the people around you know that you're driving a manual Supra, it appears Toyota will be introducing a unique set of 19-inch forged alloys.
Oh wow so they increased the projected rate from 30% to 40%.I didnāt read all 17 pages so if posted before sorry. The car will have about a 40% production rate in manuals. Will also see another HP bump as well. Both confirmed at the Las Vegas show last year. Sorry no proof as phones are taken as u enter meeting
