Ya more like sell it and buy another comfortable cheap daily and start investing more into local Real estate as the market collapses.
Come on Phillip, don't bail on us just yet. We all know that there might be some teething problems with the manual here and there, but I feel that Toyota will stand behind them and be flexible on warranty if they become aware of issues not caused by outright abuse.

Toyota claims stock clutch is the under warranty for 1 year and 12k mikes so you should just good for that, this is absolutely ridiculous that Toyota can’t accept responsibility.
I am getting really annoyed with their service with my issue and seeing how they are handling a full on failure and you experienced the same symptoms I am at 3k miles makes me really want to sell the car… what a joke, all this hype and bs story about the work they put into developing this car and now they wanna pretend they don’t know their is an issue going on. F that.
Yeah with all this I’m hearing about the MT makes me want to think about trading it for an auto now so might look into that these upcoming months if anyone wants To trade or maybe go to a dealer

Apparently X Clutch is working on a replacement. My (BMW) performance shop called yesterday while I was there getting some work done. Hopefully a much better solution than stock. I’m also concerned with how much power to add until a solution exists.

My entire business is real estate related. I buy fix and flip or hold and rent depending on the area. Inventory is key and I always have inventory available. If you look closely you will spot my daily in the photo.

Why not upgrade it instead of going for warranty work. Its obviously a weak point on the MT.

Because when I expressed my ideas on this to the field service tech I was very quickly made aware that any clutch modification would be an instant power train warranty killer. So sure I’ll have spent 3k to have a working clutch but if my motor pops the next day I’m out a b58… you can’t win

In one of the rags, there are some details about how Toyota developed the clutch with ZF (or probably more accurately, the other way around). https://www.motorweek.org/reviews/first_impressions/2023-toyota-gr-supra-mt

According to Toyota, the 6-speed ZF transmission was adapted from an existing unit.

But, I gather that its not shared with any BMW.

I literally just got my car 2 days ago and intend to track it heavily. I do not want clutch issues on the track.

Totally unrelated but 38 2023 Supras were fitted with the wrong wheel bolt locks. Now recall includes new bolts, wheel axle hub and oem wheels. Ridiculous. Toyota surprises me less and less each time. Sorry about your issues. Your clutch should be replaced no question asked.
