Think it will sell pretty well if they mate it with an S58 + 6MT and sell at a realistic price point. It's refreshing to see no horrible looking grilles from BMW for a change.

Come on Toyota, give us the S58 Supra + 6MT and please don't make it limited. Anyone who wants one should be able to just walk into a dealership and buy one

Eh 5 months for a send off last ditch minimal effort version?

Sure.

The leaked 45th Anniversary 24 is as lazy as it gets but we take the manual wins when we can get them.

I would suspect, probably a revised B58 Gen 3 by 25-26. Manual stays, obviously. One or two more exclusive colors, looks like they're doing 1 new color each year. Maybe a different interior color, it took them 3 years to give us Cognac lol.
I think, realistically, all we get until 2026 is new color options/special editions. Even think it is a stretch for the car to get a Gen3 B58, let alone an S58. Maybe I'm just being a pessimist, but I don't suspect this BMW-Toyota platform is very profitable to begin with. R&D funding is likely tapering off. I do think the manual stays until end of life. I also don't think there will be a next gen. With Akio Toyoda out of the CEO position, the internal push at Toyota just won't be there.

I'd love for them to prove me wrong!

I still think the S58 is a pipe dream and DEFINITELY one for under 85-95k

Yeaaah, I can't see BMW/Toyota putting in the legwork to make an S58 Supra a thing, especially at the volume the Supra is currently selling at. Even if they did hear all of us clamoring for something like that, they'd also have to recognize that a small % of the people calling for it would actually buy one lol.

Yep. The S58 is a beast, but I don't really see the point in needing more than 500whp (FBO) unless you are drag racing. B58 is a good balance for the chassis (and sounds far better)

Also, I will say that the BMW S motors scare me a bit. Over the generations: rod bearings, crank hub, etc. I like that the b58 has 7-8 years behind it with no major design flaw.

A Supra at $80k+ doesn't make as much sense as you approach Porsche prices too.

Is 2023 model year a mid-cycle refresh?

Typically a mid-cycle refresh occurs every 3-4 years after the initial launch. Being that 2023 received a manual, new wheels, suspension tweaks, is this considered a mid-cycle refresh?

Rumors of 2024 model year indicate that there will be a special orange color, and 2025 will be the last year the Supra is made. Probably safe to assume there will be a "send off" model for 2025.

I sold my C8 and just picked up the 2024 Supra 6mt. I think it is a great the car and will become limited, especially with the 6mt. I think the demand is/was there for the car, but Toyota is not making any money and they limited production. Thoughts?

Out of curiosity, why did you sell your C8?

Probably started seeing to many on the road. I've seen a ridiculous amount of C8's and I don't even live in a highly populated area. I've seen more than 2 dozen different ones around here (not to say they all live here) and I've only seen 1 other Supra just yesterday for the first time going by. Was similar when I had my Mach 1 before I traded it for the Supra. Only saw one Mach 1 here in over 2 years and only saw one other one when I was at my buddies in Nashville.

2024 definitely had a very big surge in c8 spots. I've seen 4 just yesterday in the time span of being out for an hour and back home.
