Another PB at Sebring. No new mods. 2:23s next target time ? - proper seats soon - mega sore bracing myself all weekend ?

Changed the pads out day 2. Had to scrub off too much speed on the front tires. Poor girl. It was my last track weekend for a while. So I pushed the ? out of her

Not my fastest lap, but found a Vette that was a good driver. Went back & forth. Lots of fun!!
Do you leave it in auto shift mode? And in normal? Kind of what it sounds like as it shifts super early sometimes. Seems like you are leaving a lot of time on the table on the brake zones too.

Both. That particular lap/session I was messing with the lane assist & and the nanny button. The little VCS (or TC brake light in the upper right corner) light was coming on briefly. It rarely happens but it did that session. I had to mess with it a few times.

I usually can set it before leaving the pits. Don’t know if I forgot or if it was just playing with me.

As far as the brakes, one of the ducts came off. Braking wasn’t as strong as usual. Hence my tires paid the price, scrubbing off more speed when missing the apex’s. Will have to get that fixed and try those magical CSG pads someday. That could make a big difference in times ?

Bonus Shenanigans as seen from my BOSSBOSSVISION
That’s freaking hilarious ? Loved the subtitles and the baby video  I did good just overlaying the data and transferring it to the computer. I thought you were going to loose it for sure on that one over snap. If I slide too much, I usually throw up a thumbs up to the corner workers, saying all good or my bad. However they want to take it, lol.

Been doing lots of measuring! Ripped off first sketch and this one is much better. 18.5” from the tip of the hood is the bottom cut line based on the GT4, so I’m told. All measurements are checking out but I’m going to sleep on it and measure again before cutting. I feel a lot better about it than the first sketch ?

Issa hole. Going to take a sander/grinder to the exposed edges to clean them up a bit, then planning to get the vent set on tomorrow night so that I can try and get some track time in on Saturday. It won't be hot hot out, but it'll be over 80*, and that's plenty hot to get some data on this thing.

Got out on track with my Supra for the first time. All stock except for pads and fluid. I'll have to come up with an alternative camera mount arrangement. The narrow windshield and display block the view when i lean into a turn. I didn't think of that, as it wasn't a problem in my WRX. It was a blast! I realized i need a louder exhaust so i can feel faster :D

Those on Hawk 60/30, what was your bed in process?
For initial bed in, 10ish medium pressure brakes from 50 to 30 at varying speed reductions. Once they're warm then 5ish hard brakes from 50 to 10 but not activating ABS. Once really hot then extremely hard brake to ABS 3ish times.

For track, when on the out lap drag the brake to warm them up between corners and then medium braking on a few corners, then hard brake but no ABS on appropriate corners. Should be ready for full braking performance by the first hot lap.

If you're driving to the event on those and haven't street driven them yet at all, they suck at initial bite when cold. For example neighborhood driving and braking from 30 to 0 at a stop sign feels terrible compared to OEM pads and stop distance is definitely extended.
