I had a chance to drive one of student's manual supra recently. It was fun and felt good but compare to my auto/pedal, I felt that I'm too busy shifting than driving. Although there aren't any compelling reason for me to switch to manual, any transmission you get, it would be a good platform.

It’s hard to directly compare data from different manufacturers since testing samples are not the same. i.e. tested wingspan width are different.
Every manufacturer's CFD is different levels of make believe.

I had a 2021 that I tracked. I'm a diehard stick shift guy, though; I got bored of the auto and bought a C7Z M7 to track and eventually sold the Supra. I still love the hell out of the C7Z but I just sold my C8 so I'm looking for another stick car stablemate. There's nothing else in this price range that has my interest but I haven't seen much feedback on them on track, so curious what owners have to say.

Yes and it is very good

Yeah? Tell me more. ?

I, too, was die hard manual guy with a motto that "If car is not stick shift, it's not a car" All my daily, track, and company car was manual. Those includes Acura Legend 6spd, bmw 535i 6 spd, Acura TL 6spd & ETC. Although supra is not my 1st automatic, once I learned to shift with pedal shifter, specially on this platform, it really does not make difference as far as driving on track but automatic provides a bit more protection to engine. not pushing for auto but whatever you get, it's a good platform to be on the track.

Manual has a better diff then Auto thats about all i was able to feel, i dont know what they did if it was just tuning to the programming or something else but i could feel the difference.
Would you go quicker in the auto? Im not sure really as my local track is all 3rd and 4th gear with a touch of 5th so still my fastest time around it was in my manual.
My car is not tuned but has had all suspension changed (except diff bushes) and run nangkang CRS it is turely an amazing car that is very fast with stock power.

Only difference is the shorter final drive AFAIK. Diff operates the same. MT is 3.460 and AT is 3.150. This accounts for two less gears in the manual and longer gearing.

@i3igpete shared nice compilation in other thread so im reposting this here, since i didnt see it before, maybe some1 will benefit.
Looking at this, Verus V1X seem to perform even better than Spage wing? Also, UCW seem doing pretty well, 9LR being very cost effective

Has anyone ever tested the stock 45th anniversary wing to see what it produces?

I think traction control has been updated and diff programming as well (marketed haipin+ mode I think)
