I got in contact with the US based UniClutch rep who was very knowledgeable and very nice to talk with. I found out that the Youtube review on a MT supra is the CEOs personal car used for R&D. The rep also let me know a lot of work and re-tooling was needed to create the center spline due to the larger output shaft BMW\Supra has. I am going to order one up and will create a install video and review. The clutch is most likely 2-4weeks out but will post updates. I feel if this clutch has the street manners from the video then this will be another contender to the CM twin disc at a much lower cost.
How much was it?

I'm in NE Ohio and would be more than happy to lend a hand in the clutch swap if you're interested. If nothing else I'd be excited to see the uniclutch/aspects of the install in person, I'll bring beer if that's your thing!

No experience swapping clutches in a mkV Supra, but have extensive mechanical experience including upgrading clutches on multiple other platforms.

I did see that UniClutch has the clutch released on their site. I only have 1500m on my 2024 but am running more that stock power. For the money and it being a twin i might try this out.

I also want to try it out, but have a lot of bills, family and kids out on summer school and camps. I might wait until October or so to pull the trigger on a Uni-Clutch. I’d be curious to hear anyone’s experience with Uni Clutch if anyone on here decides to install one. You sir are a hero for giving it a try.

It would be interesting to see the weight difference between the OEM and the uniclutch

I did ask that and will get that info and do a weight comparison when i do the swap. I was told it is a little heavier but you will have that with a twin vs single. Also that they focus on keeping the weight more towards the center.

How did you get in contact with them?

I am interested in talking to them as well as they seem to be the best option but I have a couple questions.

I have the FX400SS 8puck but it has less than 50 miles on it due to other issues right now. (https://www.supramkv.com/threads/clutch-slipping-issues-and-warranty-denial.22940/)

For now the pedal is much stiffer than I'd like as I daily the car. I haven't broken it in yet so I will get back to you on how it feels.
This was another option I am considering.

The only problem is that it doesn’t handle enough power and I need something that can handle more than 550-600 torque. Also clutch masters want you to buy their flywheel with it too or else it voids your warranty and all that.

I just placed an order on the Uni Clutch, which is pretty much the same price, works with stock flywheel, and has the same pedal feel as stock.

I saw your post about your stock clutch and how it was giving out, sorry to hear about your dealership experience. My question would be are you running everything stock? Or are you pushing more power?

When I has my car stock and just did a tune on it, I experienced a lot of clutch slip in 3rd gear or anything above that, this went on for about 2 weeks, then the clutch just stopped slipping, and it was great. I was running about 520 torque and it was doing fine.

Recently I ran E30, and this is when it started slipping again, so now I am replacing it.

I’m not sure as to why earlier it was slipping for me then it just fixed itself, but I doubt it’s gonna do that again.

Couple other things I found.

SPEC
-Never got email back, I called them and the person on the phone said the person who could assure me they have parts compatible with the supra is on vacation and to "just send him an email or call back in a few weeks. "

-ECS tuning has spec products apparently compatible with the supra:
https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-A90_M...ne_-or-_Drivetrain/Clutch_-or-_Flywheel_Kits/

-Turner has Spec products too
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-Supra/c-36-bmw-clutch-flywheel

MOTIV
-Twin disc setup for B58, listed in their Supra section of the website
https://www.motivmotorsport.com/products/motiv-twin-disc-clutch-bmw-b58

Southbend
-BMP tuning emailed me back:
"I would 100% still recommend Southbend as we run it on our Supra, MK8 GTI and MK7.5 GTI shop/employee cars".
-They posted on Facebook about it and its not clear to me what the status is (prototype testing, production, or what).
-Dont see any products for the Supra on their site.

"BMW OEM 550i setup"
-Someone mentioned this earlier in this thread, in my limited research, other B58 powered cars run this with some success (all anecdotal of course). Not 100% sure its compatible with the Supra.

Some discussion here on Bimmerpost on "6MT clutch strength":

SACHS
-Don't see anything supra specific but maybe can cross reference to other BMW B58 or other platforms

A 6L thing
IIRC wasn't there a diesel B58 derivative? (B57) If so, wonder what clutch options that has...
