I've just had an email from Sach:

Thanks for your inquiry for a ZF Race Engineering SACHS Performance clutch.

By the factory, there's no reinforced or Performance clutch available for the Supra

Unfortunately, it's also not possible to build a custom modified clutch, based on an original clutch kit, for that model.
After all, I'm not able to offer you anything. - I'm very sorry.

Has anyone with a 2024 MT had clutch slip running DP, tune, with pump gas power levels?

There is a MKV 6MT owner on Youtube from Florida who has been slowly upgrading his car. He claimed his clutch didn't start slipping until he went E30 mix. Supposedly when he was only tune, downpipe and pump gas that he was not slipping. Here is his latest video of him doing the Clutchmaster upgrade recently. Good channel to follow to find out as an example for our 6MT's.

I also have pushed my jb4 6mt harder than anyone else and it only started slipping the past week when it really started getting turned up
Probably the meth that did it lol. Myself and about ~5 other MTs I've tuned at E25/E30 on JB4, never had an issue with slip. I've been tuned for 3k+ miles. Mind sharing a log? Curious what boost/timing levels it starts to struggle.

Trouble is, a lot of the numbers/tune talk is meaningless unless they are driven in the same way.

I'm generally very kind to mine and don't give it much abuse at all, however someone with the same build and a less sympathetic outlook could kill the clutch in an afternoon...

This. And also, I'm not entirely convinced everyone that says they can drive a manual, can actually drive a manual.. properly.

That’s so sadly (likely) the case. Had a track car that the wife money shifted on track. RIP that it was the clutch only. The shop said we were lucky it didn’t come through the floorboard. Tore up the underside as well.

We got a race clutch after that. Talk about the hardest clutch I‘ve ever driven ?. Totally unforgiving. High rev, little to no feel when releasing and pow ?…. it was in gear. My poor daughter learned how to drive manual on that sucker. I‘m surprised she still drives a manual (much nicer one however) to this day.

How’s it drive?
Great. Power and torque increase across the whole powerband is very noticeable. I dont do any hard launches but was gonna be going to the track this weekend for the first time with the tune but got cancelled (VIR).

I know the 2024's are still rolling out but I feel like the first year of MT production (2023) we saw a lot more problems with clutch slip.. even on stock power.

It’s the same exact clutch. I don’t know if it was more user error of people who don’t know how to drive manuals well or just a coincidence.

It’s only between shifts either during a race or when doing a 60-130 pull … it eventually catches but I can feel it slip for a split second … at first I though it was wheel spin 2-3 at 67mph but it certainly isn’t while grabbing 4th.

I've started contacting some of the more traditional custom clutch specialists here in the UK, my thinking now is that there may be some mileage in that for what is clearly, (over here at least) a very low volume car.
