Had stock suspension replaced with an AST Height Adjustable Spring kit recently. Car was driven for two days without incident, then sat for a week.

Next time I drove it was the start of a road trip. About 200 miles in I get the notification “Continued driving possible. Chassis.” It stayed on until I stopped for gas, but then did not come back after restart.

I drove almost 1900 miles without issue. Mountain roads, interstate, high speed and low speed. Single driver and with passenger. Parked last night and all was well.

I get up to go to work today and after 18 miles on the interstate, the error message is back.

Ride height sensor? Pinched cable? Other ideas?

Any help is appreciated.

My guess, most likely rear ride height sensor. That plastic bracket that cracks either during install or driving so it tends to bounce in and out of it's position.

Replace it with a metal one.

I would guess ride height sensor. Pull code to confirm.

The first time I worked on my Supra I broke one, I did not appreciate how fragile they are.

I’ll scan when I get to the car after work today.

I did that during my roadtrip but nothing showed and the message in iDrive went away. I figured if sensor was broken it was broken… and the code wouldn’t go away for 1800+ miles and then randomly return on smooth interstate.

That is why I asked.

Thanks all.

Make sure you are using a scanner that scans more than just generic things. Something like Bimmerlink or Protool. That way you get very specific chassis/drivetrain/etc information.

I have BimmerCode and MHD+ will either of those work? If not I will purchase Bimmerlink.

I think MSA is the auto-start/stop and DWE is anti-theft, so yeah agreed those codes don't seem related to the issue. Odd.

If you can't get an actual code and have to resort to guessing, LOL, I'll suggest taking a look at the plugs for the adaptive dampers, could have one loose.

Yeah, I'm starting to suspect wheel speed/abs sensor is going bad. When I called the shop, they indicated it is more likely to be intermittent until if goes. Drove home with a fuel stop. No issues, no warnings.

Suspension install could be totally unrelated... Correlation does not always equal causation.

I'll get under the car this weekend and look for pinched wires, and ensure all connections are solid. If the warning comes back, I'll scan codes before I turn the car off which should allow me to grab something.

Thanks again all!
