Curious where does the seat position error come from, the control panel not being hooked up?Works for airbag but not for seat position and restraint. You still get errors.
Also what Ohms resistor?

Yea a bunch of people have used them with success.Been keeping up with this thread since @razorlab started it with the epic write up. ??
Has anybody just utilized bimmer-remote?
I’m sure I could handle doing this myself with protool and another dongle but I’d also have to buy an android tablet and it seems more economical to just have a remote code session to take care of it.
That’s my seat ?Just dropping by to say thank you for this post. Got both of my sparco qrt-r installed with no lights.

So will my cruise control work with this coded out? With the harness unplugged and the race seat installed on my 22 premium, it disabled the cruise.
I don't see why not. That said, I don't think I have used my cruise at all yet. lol
Does your cruise control not work too? ??
This is exactly what I need. I’ll see if they can do the airbag light as well per this thread or their expensive shop coding tool(s).Mine does, when you disconnected the oem seat from the harness coming from the floor did you pop out the specific 2 pin connector for the seatbelt receptical? If you connect those then cruise control will work. At that point you'll just get the "Driver restraint error" and everything should work as usual.
Ive followed these steps exactly but my lights still stay on. It shows its deactivated on my phone and other codes I've added are working too but for some reason the lights won't go away and my cruise control is still deactivatedFor people that have installed race bucket seats, I just confirmed that you can use Bimmergeeks Protool app to code out the airbag and seat position error.
Did it myself today in like 5 minutes.
Requirements:
Bimmergeeks Protool app (android only)
Protool Master License
OBD wifi adapter (Kies, Thor, or anything from Bimmergeeks) I used Kies
Steps:
Now, once in "3000 equipment"...
- Put car into accessory mode by pushing start button without foot on the brake.
- Buckle seat belt (keeps car from going to sleep)
- Enter diagnostic mode by tapping the start button three times fast (without foot on brake!)
- Connect to car with Protools app
- Find airbag section in Protool
- Select "coding"
- Select "edit coding"
- Select "sector 1: 0001B29"
- Confirm data backup
- Select "3000 equipment"
If you only have the drivers side bucket seat (I currently only have the drivers seat installed)
Disable the following:
ZUENDKREIS_1
SITZPOSITIONSERKENNUNG_SITZMEMORY_FAHRER
If you have replaced BOTH your seats with bucket seats, disable all of the following:
ZUENDKREIS_1
ZUENDKREIS_2
CISMATTE_BEIFAHRER
SITZPOSITIONSERKENNUNG_SITZMEMORY_FAHRER
SITZPOSITIONSENSOR_BF
Then select "finalize"
After that is done, close the app and turn the car off fully (once the green LED on the shifter turns off) and then restart the car.
No more dash lights or warnings!

What do you have plugged into the large yellow seat connector? There should be one thing left connected.Ive followed these steps exactly but my lights still stay on. It shows its deactivated on my phone and other codes I've added are working too but for some reason the lights won't go away and my cruise control is still deactivated![]()
Oh shoot, I didnt realize. Its just sitting there under the bucket seat. What should I have connected and how would I do that with oem seat out? What do you have plugged into the large yellow seat connector? There should be one thing left connected.
No worries, you just have to make sure the white one is still connected.Oh shoot, I didnt realize. Its just sitting there under the bucket seat. What should I have connected and how would I do that with oem seat out?I'm super new to this
Did you guys zip tie that two wire connector to the factory receptacle, or just kind of let it sit loosey-goosey?I should really update the first post, but here, from the coding spreadsheet:
Yea, I zip tie it.Did you guys zip tie that two wire connector to the factory receptacle, or just kind of let it sit loosey-goosey?
