Now why would they go and make a trivial change like this, but then ignore the wind buffeting problem. and only half-ass the change, to boot.

how it looks on the 2023:

I don’t think I have that fan grill thing either, I can check.

I guess I do have the fan grill thing, but all my attachments are the twist lock captive bits, no bolts. I wonder if bmw had an issue with them falling into peoples legs or something.

honestly the twistlocks on my passenger side were so stiff I had to use a pair of pliers anyway. i would have preferred bolts on both sides, but i wonder if theres some sort of regulation that the fuses need to be accessible without hand tools.

I just got this image (above) from the Toyota dealership parts guy.
The collision center is replacing the red Supra badge with a black one.

Same as before.

How are you planning on running the wires through the center console?

Not sure if you have seen their product but P3 makes a neat OBD2 gauge that you can run and see quite a few parameters with an extra 2 inputs. I would consider selling the one you have now and looking at other options that could tie into the interior a bit more nicely. The Ecutek or BM3 apps paired with their hardware are other options. I've personally run the P3 and Ecutek on my previous car and really liked it.

OP already mentioned that they're pretty set on using this one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not sure yet. I'd rather not drill holes. The cable is fairly long, fortunately.

ScanGauge is in place and working. The right side panels have captive screws and the left has screws with centering noses (not captive). For some reason, the right side, left captive screw is a pain to align with its mating hole. There is a left panel slot that allows you to exit from inside the center console rear and out the panel.
The display turns off about 20-30 seconds after the car is shut down.
