I’d give the Supra a 4 and the complete Bavsound system (minus their amp) I have heard a solid 7. I’m completely deaf in an ear, so staging could be terrible and I’d never know. Highs and mids were very good. Bass was clean but not as deep and loud as I’d like. Bavsound will never have shattering and clean deep bass as the factory forms they have to go back into just don’t allow it. Their amp may help somewhat, but physics cannot be cheated. For the price you likely cannot do better. They are an excellent deal in that regard.

To get better requires significantly more investment as you will have to replace amps and the speakers.
I agree with your assessment.

How much better is it then the stock system though? I'm really looking for bass and better sound. I don't see how only replacing the front speakers will achieve this. Do you know when there will be a full setup available (Amp and subs etc?) Thanks!
Much better!!!!!!!!, I replaced all the speakers... not just the front. and as of now, nobody has a replacement complete factory like replacement for the supra.... But... if you want the "perfect" sound for you... you will have to go completely custom taking space from the little available space in the car...!!!!

I fired off an email to Justin and here is what I got for an official release:

Thanks for your interest and insights! We will be sure to make an announcement on the forums you suggested.

We are going to be offering the Stage One upgrades for the new Supra very soon. We hope to have the speaker kit released in the next few weeks baring any unforeseen obstacles.

Glad you are liking it. That is probably the direction I will be going as well.

I received this today from Bavsound:

<<We are actually working on filming and testing in a Supra in the next couple weeks, and hope to have the upgrades released shortly after that. We will be doing both a speaker and subwoofer upgrade for the vehicle, replacing all of the current speakers. Hang tight, the wait is almost over!

Should be nice to replace all speakers, including subs, and see how that works.
Looks like I'll be waiting for this, but I imagine replacing those stock subs will not be an easy task lol especially getting them out of that box.

Buy a trim tool kit, a few rolls of TESA tape, and some foam tape before you do this. Most of the rattles I had came from the panels you will have to pull to do this.

Insulation coverage is terrible back there as well. So if road noise bothers you, this would be a good time to address this area.

Yes..we know...ha!

So you also replaced the OE rear subs with the Bavsound "ghost" subs as well? How well do they sound with the OE amp?

I'm thinking I may just replace the OE rear woofers and upgrade the amp when it's available...

Replacing the factory woofers will go a long way. I added an amp for my subs, so I took the load of the factory amp which helped my mids and highs tremendously so my experience is different. The factory woofer are garbage though either way.

I don’t know if Bavsound has an amp to replace the Logic 7 system (our JBL). I know they carry amps for the standard and regular hifi packages, but the Premium sound amp I thought they left alone.

I’m honestly at the point where I am pretty content with how I have tuned the system. I will install caps on the door woofers for high pass around 200 hz and some CLD when I have the door panels of to see what that gets me. If I’m not happy with that, it is either components for the doors or the Bavsound system. Each has pros and cons.

you get deeper bass with their subs, but in order to get a better sound overall you need the speakers, if anything I would do the speakers first and then the subs..... I think you will get more for your money if you do the speakers... and do the subs later....! and to get the full value you will definitely need the amp!

Wait really, the speakers on the stock amp makes it sound better than the new subs? interesting

How much did the sensitivity change with Bavsound? The factory amp starts rolling back bass around 2/3rds volume pretty heavily. If have to turn it too much more, it will be problematic.
