Dealership Joy Ride Shenanigans?

I am taking delivery of a 2026 GR Supra 3.0 Manual on the 17th. I received this text message from Toyota West located at Columbus, Ohio. Is this normal?

"The shop foreman is going to have to drive this car today and put some miles on it per BMW to try to get the factory navigation to catch its signal it’s needing. Just wanted to let you know that. He’s gonna drive it around 270 loop more than likely. We don’t have the connectivity problem often but when we do it’s on cars form over seas. Won’t be driving it rough but he will drive it shortly. "

Not in my experience. My dealer programmed my Nav with the codes from BMW, when it was done I drove off and it was fine.

Mine had 12 miles at pickup and I have had no issue.

Tell him to catch deez nuts. And tell them not to drill the bumper either. You can drive the car yourself and bring it back if there’s still a calibration issue.

It’s not. I got mine with like 6 miles.

For reference. I picked my car up Saturday night, an hour after delivery and they didn’t have the codes yet for the navigation so I came back a couple weeks later since I was getting PPF installed.

Drove into service, they programmed the navigation, I drove off and it was working fine.

Complete BS. I got my car delivered with 7 miles but without the navigation programmed. I went to another dealership to get the navigation programmed and they did not have to drive it at all to get the navigation working

LOL. It is amazing how shady dealerships still are. They hire absolute low impulse control retards that ruin deals worth 10s of thousands of dollars. I'll be cancelling the purchase if they refuse to provide a signed ECU log showing launch control usage and Engine RPMs being kept under 4500.

Or tell them you will bring it back in 200 miles for them to fix it. You dont need the nav anyways, youre probably going to use your phone.

Mine had 15 miles, and 1 bar of gas. They offered to fill the tank, said no thanks, don't drill the front bumper either, and they complied.
