100% absolutely. It needs so little to start matching up to Porsches on track, a brilliant platform to build from, and at $55k, an absolute steal.

Further to this thread......what weak points did you notice on the car that you would have changed out straight away?

For me, its charge pipe, heat exchanger, inlet/intercooler plenum, engine mounts.

💯 %

to me it has been beyond how enjoyable and capable the car is.

I had the experience to build it myself (I still have some projects to complete on it) so the love poured into hundreds of hours, crushed fingers and hand cuts is probably the most valuable experience in my late adult life.

so much so that now when most things are done I miss the time in the garage lifting the car and removing, adding or switching parts of the car.

I will do it again.

Fake engine noise delete, followed by downpipe and intake. I like when cars make fun noises that aren't fake.

100% would buy the car again, but first mods would be: Tint, Reflector deletes, whiteline lowering springs, wheel spacers.

I just bought the GR Supra again and starting from ground 0.

This time around I'm not going to compromise on any mods. So far, I don't think I've bought any of the same components that I did from last time.

The theme is still the same. An overpowered mountain carving street car. Not into drag racing and I don't frequent the track.

Cooling is the most important for me. Luckily Verus has their oil cooler which I think will be a must for me to prolong power loss.

Unless you live in the Sahara, I don't think you need to worry about oil temps and power loss from said oil temps on the street. IAT power loss is very real though.

I'd actually give a prize to somebody that can hit 279F+ oil temps on the street from anything other than just pinning the throttle for 20 miles 2 inches off another cars bumper with zero air flow.

It's already been 5 years with my Supra and I'd do the same car with ZF8 (I'm an MT guy so that says a lot, I think), same mods. However, the newer Supra's are more tame than my 2020, so I'd probably change the exhaust for a livelier one. I like burbles and pops on a sports car.

Yes and yes! Loved every mile in both. The 8-speed auto was quicker for sure but the manual’s got a raw, much more connected feel.

brake fluid and pads on day 1, and not after a track day lol. also if i could do it all over again i would have probably got a red one. The car is otherwise PERFECT.

I am absolutely in love with this car. Would not choose any other car within it's price range or even double the price range. I've mentioned this before, but as good as something like a GT4 is for example, i'm not going to start chucking away OEM GT4 parts for aftermarket ones. Feels borderline blasphemous....and is just a giant waste of money. I wanted a canvas, so i could paint my own picture, and that's what the Supra gave me. A reliable canvas.
