Guess I’m lucky we have good gas and I‘m not setup for alternate fuel ?
. We all, Supras Porsche Vetts, run down to the quickest station in Homestead and Sebring, pump some 93 and hakuna matata. I literally have got to the reserve fuel light a few times. The car was fine… Another pure Stock engine Supra buddy goes to 1/3 and refuels. Granted I don’t want to go that low, but sometimes our sessions can be 30 minutes or longer and I’m “that guy” who doesn’t want to leave and last one off the track at the end of the day…. Anyways, I’m lucky not to get fuel starvation, I suppose.
As far as the nannies, @tomfree is spot on! If at a new track and you’re not Mario Andretti, turn that shit on, lol. My dumb reference is when you are hammering on the same track you know inside and out and want to learn your (and the cars) limits. There is a very fine line and it’s absolutely a blast, imo, to drive in/on/around that line. Especially in areas on the track where driving skillfully (not ape’ish lol) can really make a difference. It’s totally a feel thing and with instruction, it will absolutely help your times go down. If that’s your interest… @Rocksandblues would fit this category perfectly! Having an open mind, been doing this a while, interested in improving - going faster. I guarantee your times will go down drastically. Trying to remember some of the guys in your area (CJ Wilson, Christian Szymczak, Nathanial Sparks, Glenn McGee, to name a few), that would be phenomenal for instruction. Absolutely fantastic drivers and you won’t regret getting instruction from them. Also, they are some of the coolest, nicest, down to earth peeps you’ll ever meet… The last 3 especially I knew well. Now that I’m driving again, will hit these guys up & get them in my car ASAP! It’ll also save a ton of headaches if anything is set up improperly (that’s me for sure!). They’ll know just by driving the car.
Edit: Also, go talk to the guys truly racing at your local track. That’s how I met everyone back in my days of more serious tracking. Sebring is notorious for lots of pros hanging out & testing stuff. I’m sure there are lots of similar tracks around the country like this.

I was at 115MPH and sketched out and yeah, turn 10 requires ballz.
