Which fluid are you using? When I switched to SRF it lasted much linger
he's been advised several times to switch off motul but hasn't. srf react provides a firmer feel, but not all day, like endless rf650 has for me

I quickly moved out of motul. Did 2 days and halfway through the second my pedal felt too soft for confidence. That was at novice group pace as well.

Motul is trash brake fluid.

I run endless and maybe do maintenance bleeds every five events or so.
Great.
This will be my third event on same brake Fluid and at a slower pace because I’m a beginner. So that gives peace of mind.

Also… should I search or ask about FREQUENCY of change of other fluids in a track car?…

Like the engine oil?? Trans/ diff

Or will I be sent into the darkest hole of the forum with people asking what oil is better….?

As beginner pace, you won't really be pulling too much wear.

generally I do oil changes every 3-5 track days.
Trans / diff I kept factory until I recently and I am aiming for every 5 track days.

brake fluid. Motul will need very frequent changes and it's trash. Castrol srf I know people who only flush once a year. Maybe a bleed every 6 months. It's all by feel tbh.

I bleed my SRF after every event. Never know if you boiled it over and have an air bubble. Waiting to kill off the rest of my SRF bottle before I make the switch to Endless. I tried Motul and like other have said, its terrible. My pedal travel would double by the end of a 20 min session.

Yeah used Motul once from a trackside company that did my pads & fluid. It only lasted that weekend. Went right back to SRF. I’ve been using SRF shortly after getting this car… great fluid, last longer like you said, given its higher wet temp. If my car doesn’t go to the shop in between track weekends, it’s the only one I can continue to go back out on the same fluid. I’d prefer to bleed after each weekend like Sean said but you don’t have to with SRF.

Great.

Dude… ask anything. Who cars if someone gets their keyboard fingers wadded up ? That’s what we’re here for. To help, learn from others & the love of cars!!

You’re not going to cook your brake fluid (so to speak) as quickly as those competing or driving sub 2.40s at Sebring or sub 1.40s at Homestead. Once you hit either of those times, you’ll definitely be going through everything quicker - like oil, brake, trans & diff fluids, tires, pads & rotors. So don’t look for an exact number someone else uses or go by one scenario for all (such as the owner’s manual). The BMW FARA guys are mega helpful and especially Corsa in your neck of the woods. Sure it won’t hurt to freshen up your fluids more often. Since you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and do a lot more to your car than the average owner, you might notice dirty fluid. That’s always a good sign to change it (man I miss a dipstick…). Additionally if you decide to track all year round down here (those ”other” 6 months), you will go through everything quicker.

Well this was a 1st for any car I’ve owned…

Corded the inside left (driver’s side) tire. Granted I did a lot more in town driving than I usually do and busted an end link while driving at Sebring (turn 17). A button screw (they called it something else) came off on track.

Luckily a friend had extra parts (lug nut & spacers) in his truck and we matched up the thread size and pitch. Had to take the other side apart to do it ofc. Anyway, that has now been fixed. Verkline sent me the parts from across the ocean (took 4 ever). It was odd because the part came preassembled. So we asked them if they had a service bulletin or to start one.

Regardless noticed my tire yesterday when they were installing the replacement parts from Verkline ?. I’ve never corded on the inside. My camber is approximately -3.6 up front and we put some toe out, which I like. I had to emergency counter steer (scrub) under hard braking while slowing her down entering the turn. She was forced to go straight from 145 mph with that tire not being able to move until about 50 mph. I finally got enough small turns in to make it off track to the pit out (happens to be right there off turn 17 at Sebring).

I believe I did about 5-6 track days on those tires, 2 other weekends. I knew this would be the last 3 days (weekend) on them and brought my backup set. I did get a full day Friday before this happened. It was an all you can eat (drive) buffet style track day, so I did put in a LOT of time. But I’m having a hard time believing this happened from that end of day incident.

Any ideas or thoughts on to why I corded on the inside? I didn’t get a chance to talk to the head mechanic yesterday when I picked up the car. I’m thinking it couldn’t be too much negative camber. I know Guthrie, Bob, Bryan and many other peeps runs with just as much or more neg camber than I do and drive just as hard (fast) or harder w/out cording there 1st. I’ve always corded on the outside 1st when looking for tire wear. In fact I was really happy to see (or think) they were wearing much better, lol. I’ve got replacement tires but now it’s getting a bit late for me to go back out ?. I might do a day with Chin just to try out the new seat again in a few weeks. My times were off that day and something felt off. I should have known just to throw in the towel and check under the car sooner. Hindsight is always 20/20.

If anyone else needs the entire Verkline catalog diagrams for our Supra, see below for what they sent me. The Stateside company is a middleman for the main company over in Europe.

I‘ve got all their parts except the bushings and subframe, been happy otherwise ?. I’m currently working with them figuring out why this preassembled part came undone. Will let y’all know what we find out and/or hopefully a service bulletin will follow.

Wow, looked this car up and this link/build page is great.

Yeah man, I just found this guy on discord yesterday, briefly talked with him, and read up on his build and I am here for it mega. He made his own chassis mount for his top mounted wing, made his profiled front splitter, and is making what looks like a sick ass diffuser… is he in the forum? Anyone know who he is on here?

Awesome. I told you this yesterday but I love your build.

This feels like that time when I learned who Allen Patten and Kyle McKiou are on the forum the hard way-like I should know you guys but I don’t yet. Anyway, hello back.

If anyone can point me towards the “who’s who” of the forum so I can stop sounding like a complete idiot that would be wonderful! Hahaha.

I also corded the inside tires on track last weekend. Thankfully had the tire guy on track and went back on next session.

I only have camber plates for suspension fyi and 2.6ish front camber

a wiki for this would probably be handy, since folks could decide how much they want to share about their build and/or track results

I've noticed a pattern that it's the V730. @Rensuhlo, @FLtrackdays, @rwense and now you.
