This may be an option:Any updates on this?
AA isn't available on any Supra year unless something changed I'm unaware of.I have not tried it yet, but Android Auto is supposedly standard via wired USB connection in 2021.5 and newer Supras.
But for those with older Supras, this may be an option:
BimmerTech MMI Prime Retrofit Kit
- Adds wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Installed behind the infotainment panel.
- Includes a USB port (usually in the glovebox) and a wireless antenna.
- Cost: Around $800 USD.
- Installation centers available globally via BimmerTech’s installer network. [So I insta...2021 supra]
Upon further investigation, it was the Camry and RAV4 that received wired Android Auto in the early 2020s. They then received wireless in 2023. Some or most models of BMWs came with wireless as early as 2019.AA isn't available on any Supra year unless something changed I'm unaware of.
From what I understand, iDrive 6 that we have in our Supras does not support Android Auto natively, and never will.Upon further investigation, it was the Camry and RAV4 that received wired Android Auto in the early 2020s. Imagine if people took 1 minute to do a google search before posting things...From what I understand, iDrive 6 that we have in our Supras does not support Android Auto natively, and never will.
This took me 3 seconds to type into ChatGPT... "does the 2020-2026 Toyota Supra support wired Android Auto"Can't google but AI is their new bible
People will sprinkle AI on anything these daysI came across a new product during my research that might interest some of you. It’s called the BMW MMB CarPlay AI Box. From what I’ve gathered, it works by using the existing CarPlay feature in our cars and essentially tricks it into enabling Android Auto. Supposedly, it’s compatible with iDrive 6, which is what our Supras run on.
I’m a bit hesitant to test it myself since I’m currently using the BimmerTech MMI Prime, and I’m not sure how reliable this new device will be. Still, I thought I’d share in case anyone else is curious or willing to take the risk and try it out.

This doesn't enable android auto at all. It gives you an android interface on your screen using wireless carplay and needs either a SIM or hotspot for data.I came across a new product during my research that might interest some of you.
