Was about to send mine in to be unlocked, but I keep getting "ECU is not supported" after entering VIN.
Is it not possible to unlock a 2024 MT?

Yes, for some reason a lot of the 2024's get flagged. I think it might be because there are some Gen 3's starting that year. Not in a Supra, but other bmw's.Was about to send mine in to be unlocked, but I keep getting "ECU is not supported" after entering VIN.

It’s worth the price and time to send it out. Unplugging my JB4 felt so damn good. What a difference in drivability from a custom map JB4 to the OTS MHD maps.
Uh wut. That's dumb. Some of us are just cheap, plain and simple. I cant justify $2000 for a tune. I won't. I could make it happen, I just can't justify it in my head. I won't. Has nothing to do with whatever TF you're talking about.Yeah. While the post was pretty tame, I just think it's funny how some Americans think its an aberration and complete injustice that the US doesn't have something.
I don't think the Femto unlock will ever migrate to the US.. or anywhere else for that matter.
Firstly, you literally own a car worth what, 50k+.. you may have chosen the wrong platform.Uh wut. That's dumb. Some of us are just cheap, plain and simple. I cant justify $2000 for a tune. I won't. Agreed. Even $2k is a decent price for an overall tune.Firstly, you literally own a car worth what, 50k+.. you may have chosen the wrong platform.Secondly, no one said you have to unlock it - I thought I would never do it too, lol. Thirdly, FEMTO costs ≈$1000USD + Software. Lastly, if an unlock comes stateside - it won't - it will more than likely be the same price, minus shipping.
So why is a US unlock needed again?
Enter " DME8FF_R" in the DME section for now and it will go throughWas about to send mine in to be unlocked, but I keep getting "ECU is not supported" after entering VIN.

Totally understand and we get this from plenty clients too - along I will wait for stateside unlock, can't afford the downtime for a week etc. Truth is the solution is and has been available for several years now through FEMTO.Uh wut. Chose wrong platform how? Like you said I don't have to unlock. I was just saying some of us don't do it because we can't justify the price. Afford? Sure, but justify? Nah, still no.Firstly, you literally own a car worth what, 50k+.. you may have chosen the wrong platform.Secondly, no one said you have to unlock it - I thought I would never do it too, lol.
