If you could, would you trade your A90 for the M2?
If I could get over the looks, the fact that the M2 does not feel unique or as special on the road (vs normal traffic), and just cared purely about performance or numbers, then YES; the M2 would be a better option given its S58, and its updated interior and rear seats.

Look at this monstrosity compared to what it used to look like

Agreed. The F87 M2 is by far the nicest looking modern M car. Very classy overall.

A Tesla Cybertruck towing a G series M2 would be the perfect pairing. Two vehicles designed by four year olds.

Good photo showing the comparison from the F87 to G87. What made the F87 special was it's small compact size.

I still love that blue and wish it was available on our cars. It’s almost the Gulf blue that is so fantastic.

Also: I think Brooklyn Grey with brick ? red leather interior would look phenomenal on our Supras.

Funny. GO drive an M2 G87 - the track data is also impressive. The S58 is amazing.

Sage advice from this owner below :)

M2 is a design mess, rear is tragic. Imo it only looks "ok" in black, so u cannot see all those weird angles.
Anyway, its a 1700+kg pig (it weights as much as an M5 e60 with V10) with fake steering and fak3 brakes so, 0 interest.
Fake steering and brakes? The M2 is an M4 from the motor to the chassis to the brakes/suspension. Go drive one. You have zero rational opinion based on your post LOL. Takes very little to post what you did. Try thinking and actually having knowledge of the platform to begin with.

Watched it. Just can’t do it the way it looks. Lots of other options. Same reason I didn’t purchase a FK8 Type R, which is an amazing drivers car, but looks like a five year olds robotech drawing.

You do know journalists get paid to do reviews, right?

Oh I did drive it, pretty hard actually since I was thinking about swapping Supra for an M2 and had hours with the car, could do whatever I wish with it. Why would I talk about a car I dont have experience with?
Brakes are average at best, steering is a classic digital BMW with low feel, just not as bad as OG N55 M2, they should ask Toyota how to calibrate steering (not that Supra is great, but its way better). And it doesnt feel fast for 460hp, also the fake burbles in sport...
Supra is barely toreable at 1500kg, M2 is 200kg more. 1720kg sports car? AMG GT with TT V8 lighter...

I liked the interior and the customization + the suspension for a stock car is pretty nice. But thats it, for me its not a sports car.

For now only 718GTS or GT4 is a car I could swap to.

When I was shopping for my next fun car a couple years back I was seriously looking at F87 M2's as a possibility. Love the looks, however when I drove a couple I was seriously disappointed in the steering feel and secondly the sound of the engine. I couldn't believe how much better the Supra steering was. Ultimately I decided I didn't want yet another performance car based on an economy car, as I had Evos for almost 20 years, with brief stints in Fiesta ST's and Golf R's.

BTW, the new AMG GT somehow gained almost 1,000lbs. They are 4,3XXlbs now!

F87 N55 steering was DEAD, esp when I was driving early model 86 back then. M2Comp improved a lot in that matter. But g87 is imo worse than m2c regarding steering. Overall M2Comp was my fav M2.

Also, I did drive 2019 Supra with 2023 ecu flash and imo there is a big difference in steering feel, I had mine updated afterwards, even tho I knew it will lock the ecu.

I was talking about prev AMG GT, new one is 2000kg....

That's interesting to hear. I only briefly test drove a 2021 car and noted that it felt pretty numb all around. My 2023 is still numb, but the steering at least has better feedback which is nice.

By far the deadest steering I've experienced was in the G42 M240i xDrive. I could get more feedback using a non-force feedback gaming wheel by virtue of the relative rotation of the Earth. Makes me wonder just how much better the G87 is by comparison.

2019 Supra was numb when it 1st came out (esp dead on the centre), but still better than M2C. 2021 is better, coz its after 1st steering revision. 2023 is again better on feedback, coz 2nd steering calibration happened. I'm not power tunned yet so maybe there will be update next year so I'll do that and than tune, for now suspeniosn brakes etc :) Also front sway bar helps with feel, coz there is less delay for steering inputs.

We r not gettin full of feel hydraulic steering racks anymore so that is gone (McLarens still keep em, I think lotus Emira too)...

IDK. I actually like the G87 up against the F87 here. That blue also looks really good in person IMO. Maybe my head injuries are at play again though.
