So is this chart not accurate?

Sorry you are losing me now. What does that chart have to do with WiFi connections?

You connect directly to the dongles WiFi. Your home WiFi network has nothing to do with it.

I’m taking “direct” as wired connection.

Agree. Only thing I have to do with my MHD dongle is turn off apple CarPlay for the Supra in my phone’s General Settings.
Yeah. I get what you guys are saying and it didn’t/doesn’t make sense as far as how WiFi connections work but it seems like somehow it was causing some interference.

There’s something called channel overlap with mesh nodes which if not configured properly can cause interference with other WiFi networks.

This won’t be hard for some people at all. But that’s the kind of diagram I needed to get started ?

My internet provider uses a dynamic protocol I believe. Something @Ruman had to mess with, check the IP address and change it?!? Fcuk if I know. But it was no big deal to him. Every time he’d run into something not working (in my feeble mind), he was cool as a cucumber, asked me about mods to my car or tracking to keep me from thinking about my car turning into a giant brick. Then he was back to messing with my iPhone settings, start over some other process… next thing you know, it was over with. Like wizardry…. it worked ?‍♂

I do want to dial back into it again sometime and address the shift points on map3 (stage3) in normal mode to shift a wee bit later. Ruman said I could do that. Gotta admit, I’m getting more used to driving the car in full automatic (blasphemy). Now that she doesn’t bog down, go to 8th gear in a school zone or my own neighborhood driving 25 mph, lol.

Using stage 2, and the only options I have enabled are the start in 2nd gear. Is there a way to make normal mode a bit more responsive? Should I set D-Mode to sportive?

Adjust the shiftpoints per gear
Despite it being much better in stage 3 for normal mode, I really need to go back in there and move those shift points up even higher. What a great upgrade for this car!!

I wonder if anyone can answer some questions. I normally drive the transmission in normal and when I want to have a little fun I put it in manual. I've always thought the shift points in normal were too low.

I drove in sport today. The shift points are definitely a little high for daily commute.

I know the shift points can be adjusted. But I've always felt like there should be a mode between Normal and Sport. How configurable can you make it? Can you tone it all the way down to Normal and then all the way and above Sport for all the other settings(outside of shift points)?
I have exactly the same thoughts, I'm thinking of buying XHP to tune the shiftmaps on Normal mode a bit. Can somebody explain the difference between these 4 stock XHP maps? Is there something by default that would be "placed" between factory Normal and Sport shiftmaps?

The different shift maps determine at what RPM the car changes gears, offset from the factory shift map. As a completely made up example: if the car ordinarily shifts from 3->4 at 3000 RPM and you change this by +20%, the car will now shift at 3600 RPM. The different pre-programmed maps allow you to quickly make Drive or Sport Mode(s) hold a gear for more or less time before shifting to the next gear.

I would assume those are BMW settings and just because they are selectable does not mean they improve anything for the car / work / don't hurt (see the whole sport+ debate), given the nature of programming and how these bmw control modules seem to work with key:value pairs, not all values have to be valid, you can make no-op changes.
