from what ive read, besides the CF pieces on the 600 units.. doesnt seem like theres going to be that many changes from 2021 to 2022 ... Should I go ahead and get a 2021 or wait for 2022?... main issue i have is I want a turbulence gray and dealers are marking up the ones they have.

Nothing set to change for 2022. If you want the car go find one a dealer is advertising with a discount already. There's another post where someone posted several delears around the country who were advertising for 52k on a 3.0 premium.

With supply chain and parts woes, I would just say get a 2021 if you can find one and you are good with the price. I doubt you will get a better deal unless you wait until winter time and Toyota offers incentives again, but incentives will likely just be on leftover 2021's and finding what you want in the color you want will be a challenge.

I would wait a bit. Who knows, maybe a revised 3.5TT engine might be in the works by GR
one with “Two Way Twin Turbo” badging.

there has been zero indication of this from what I've seen. 2022s have already been announced.

What is this teaser from?
Not my post but that’s from the new Tundra V6 rumor mill.
Personally I don’t see the Supra moving away from using an inline 6 made by BMW. If anything I see the Supra moving to using BMW’s newer B58.

Agreed, Tada was very clear that the sports car should be an inline 6. That was the primary driver for the BMW relationship as Toyota did not have an inline 6 and it would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars just to develop and manufacture one.

It would be really cool if the Supra got the S58 that is in the M3/M4 :)

Yeah they can't change the engine that easily. All the engine, drivetrain and chassis control are part of one system. The next gen will be powered by Mazda's new inline 6. But I'd wait for the 2022's to start arriving and negotiate hard on a leftover 2021.

There are going to be little to no 2021 3.0's to negotiate against and likely little to no incentives from Toyota. This will likely not be like previous years with lots of inventory and big incentives from Toyota. Autotrader shows 138 total new 3.0 Supra's available in the whole US and I am guessing some of those are sold.
