Maybe there'll be a mad rush to put deposits down at dealers now. In hopes of getting the SE
Is it too early to do preliminary contact of dealers for the 6MT? Anyone know?

The auto makes so much more sense but I already have a proven pretty reliable daily AT. It does kinda suck to (probably) miss out on remote start/adaptive cruise. But MT will be more special in the future once the world goes to self driving Teslas.

There is no reason you can't put your name on a "list" now. Look at the GR Corolla, hundreds of names at Longo for that car.

The information is there for the dealership on the MT Supra, they should be able to start a list of interested buyers

I've already tried. There isn't really anything dealers can do other than take a deposit and write your name down somewhere.

They can't actually place any orders yet.

Yes, but if you're really determined, you can give $100 and ask them to be the 1st allocation. That's how it was on LE. People put deposits down when it was announced in Auto Show, even though there was no allocation/vin/etc. to speak of.

I was able to see the order simulator screen that dealerships have access to the other day through a dealer contact. For the manual there were 3 options listed:

GR Supra 3.0 6MT
GR Supra 3.0 Premium 6MT
GR Supra 3.0 SE 6MT

Based on that it sounds like we are actually getting the manual on the base trim as well. Previous leaks had said premium only but that might just be for the Japanese market. It also seems to confirm that the special edition model will be manual only for 2023 since there wasn't an SE version listed for the automatic.

The MSRP section was still blank though.
You’re sure that day wasn’t April 1st right?

This is actually legit information. My dealer had confirmed this a week ago
I don't know why people on this forum are so determined to believe the manual supra isn't happening. It's been all but officially announced for a while now.

Hopefully we get the official announcement later this month.

Ordered A91 edition Supra
I want to see how many they will sell. They should sell a few hundred thousand of them in 3 weeks if the peasants on Facebook and youtube with rusted out Neons and Saturns are to be believed. "I'd buy it if it had a manual" while they buy a loaf of wonderbread with a credit card.

It's nice to have choices, and if I'm able I'll test drive one just to compare, but I personally wouldn't trade my A91 for one.
