I'll upload some pics when I get home. Yes they're Tolleson's MCS he was selling so I should be able to get them fully legal but I don't care too much about being nationally legal, just close enough that my local competitors won't care but I reap the benefit of better suspension for the track.
got it. the main thing is using the OEM spring and the proper spring perch to be at factory height. i can't remember the details but i believe MCS didn't bother to make a 100% B Street legal shock, so a B Street member had to build his own spring perch or something. Unlikely to matter unless you're at the pointy end of the results.

there's also the legality of the bump stop on the MCS shocks. you're not supposed to engage those before the OEM shocks.

if you dont want to be locked to Street Class, there's Xtreme Street (XS) that allows more freedom to mod. but at that point, you may want to look for a shock re-valve as those are catered to the OEM spring rates.

Spoke with previous owner and he's given me great advice on what to do and will let me bug him with any questions I have, love having supportive local drivers.

I also went to NCM this past weekend and used those tires I mentioned previously. I had 3 months of rust to shake off and confidence in the car to gain back but eventually got there and popped out a new PB at 2:21.37. I've got to say I'm still really impressed with these tires and I could probably squeeze another weekend out of them but would probably want to bring spares just in case. I'm going to go ahead and replacement them though as I feel that with 11 days (44ish sessions) I got definitely got my moneys worth.

Apparently NASA Great Lakes allows passengers for the higher run groups as well so I had 3 riders. First was an event worker who proceeded to barf and cut my session 5 minutes short. Second was an instructor who asked to ride along and said I was ready for DE4. Third was a spectator who said they raced shifter karts and wanted to get into HPDE stuff. I think I got him hooked so mission accomplished there. Being at NCM also meant there was a handful of old white guys in Corvettes who liked to grid up front so I got some good passing practice in.

Overall can't wait to get this suspension installed and then add aero at the end of the year for the 2025 season when I start running TT.

I'm taking my fiancé as a passenger for the first time at an HPDE event in a month, she gets really bad motion sickness and I'm fully preparing for her to throw up 5 minutes into the first session. I found a tube-like/strong bag that will fit underneath the chin piece of her helmet lol

So, I added an Adro wing to my A90 and got it colour matched except the winglets.

Next step, take it to a cars and coffee, as I leave turn off traction control and make sure tires are nice and cold and floor it on a curved entrance to a freeway and see if this baby can fly!!!!

Seriously, I pray that I do not become "that guy" on TikTok...

Heading to NJMP next weekend (5-7th) with PCA. Anyone else planning to be there? It will be my first time taking this to the track.

Also, for those of you with 90's Initial D nostalgia - I know this is not an FD - but still trying to relive the good days of Keisuke Takahashi!

Hey guys, yes I flipped thru the 200 alignment specs sheets posted on here, but it’s so far in the weeds I can’t keep it straight. Gearing up for my first HPDE and need to get a rough alignment done. Sitting on HKS hipermax R coilovers (with camber plates), 12/15mm spacers, stock everywhere else. Any down and dirty recommendations on a good “beginner” spec to use as a base to build upon? Heading into alignment shop tomorrow. Thank you in advance.

Front
Camber: -3.0 to -3.5
Toe: 0

Rear
Camber: -2.0 to -2.4
.2 to .4 total rear toe-in

The rear toe in being the most important as it will keep the car stable and not snappy over steery.

They called me in early due to a cancellation. Here is where I ended up. Appreciate the info and any feedback you may have Razor.

I would have done more negative camber in front but you can grow into that. I would have also put more toe-in in the rear but again, if this is your first HPDE, that alignment will be just fine.

Do you daily the car? What tire?

Stock tire and wheel setup. Car is just a weekend toy at most. Spirited drive out to the hill country if time allows.
Hoping to get some seat time on some tracks around Texas, then hit COTA.

Should be a good alignment as you learn the car on track!

100% agree

Im running 1.5mm toe in on rear and am happy with the rear end performance but i can see how 2mm would be better ill try it next time i get an alignment.

i will say going from 1mm to 1.5mm made a massive difference so much so my alignment bloke didn't believe me until until i threw him teh keys and got him to try out both settings.

Cheers

Hey friends, looking for feedback on the Triple Seven GT4-style hood vent. I heard the plastic one can warp (though they'll replace it), so I bought the carbon, but looking to see if y'all have heard anyone say they love it or hate it after owning one, if you own one yourselves, etc. I know Razor has one, any feedback would be great, good sir.

Just making sure it's a good choice before I pass the point of no return :D I wanted a little bigger than the Verus.

I mean it is a passive vent. ? It may evacuate small X% more heat than Verus but still won’t keep your engine from heat soaking in its own
