The mat is actually "spill proof" and seems water resistant to the touch. Also, it has a small lip around it to contain spills. While I haven't spilled anything on it yet, I'm pretty confident it will work as advertised based on its feel. Also, the netting points are standard on our cars in Australia and the net is a stock Toyota Supra net (nothing to do with mat underneath, FYI).
I see that now, I thought your mat somehow had the net included. I’ll pick up this net regardless thanks.
Can’t find a place to buy the mat itself, do you have a link?
Here is the net, I think:

The net looks right - just be aware that as far as I understand, US cars don't come with the mounting rings needed and they don't come with the net itself.

I bought the boot mat - sorry, trunk mat lol - from Greenline motorsports but after a quick look at their site, it doesn't seem to be available from there any more. On my invoice it was listed as "Toyota Luggage Soft Tray - Toyota GR Supra RZ - DB42 (B58B30) (08241-14020)." I believe it to be an original Toyota Japan part, but I could be wrong. I can tell you it wasn't cheap though!

And here's a better pic of both, pre-Tada subwoofer mod.

Has anyone found a trunk liner that has a shorter back wall height that would still allow for round ports?

for example the weather tech clearly would cover them, unless I made rectangular cutouts, no chance of that coming out nicely lol
I picked up a cheap off brand one in Amazon for les than $70. Hurts less to cut it up and easier to clean if something spills since all the channels go in one direction.

You can buy F3x rings they fit. Also if you live by a salvage yard , you can get the hardware pieces including the correct torx bolts and D rings from any F3x BMW and they will fit. You do need to trim the carpet on top as they are not precut for the holes, but the holes are there

Thanks for the info, the cheaper Amazon trunk liners may actually be ideal if I wanted to just attach the rings to the liner as opposed to the factory locations.
Are the holes for the bolts already threaded? So just need to poke a hole thru the carpet?

thanks for the links

Yup, already threaded. I just put a small piece of plywood between the threaded holes and the carpeted trim then drilled through the fuzzy stuff. ;)

This cargo liner looks like it has the raised areas for the cars that actually came with the hooks, and the back can be cut to accommodate for the sub ports, but this one looks like it sits even lower than weather tech, maybe possible to use smaller ports and not have to cut the liner at all?
I’ll search to see if anyone has experience with this one or can measure the distance remaining for ports, since I’ve already sorta hijacked this thread, with cargo mats and nets lol.
But, it does seem like this one would make sense if people did NOT want to drill into the carpet, perhaps the hooks can be attached via rivets or something shallow enough to just sit underneath the raised section.
anyway, much appreciation to everyone who replied here!

Doesn’t look bad with the trimming, thanks for sharing!
Don’t expect anything less from a guy that took 3 years to shop out the Supra, wait another year for it to arrive, then turn it into car porn. Everything on that (his) car is spot on!

Just did this today. Definitely sounds better than before. Bass sounds cleaner with edm music but... I mostly listen to hip hop so I'm not getting the deep bass I want.

For that I think I will have to go with at least one 12" sub. Shame I probably won't do it unless theres a clean oem style box for a 12.

How much wadding are you guys putting in the "box"? Dont know if the wadding should be packed super tight or just be a little bit in there.

After I did it my left rear sub sounds like it's blown. Even had half or less volume with the OP's sound settings. When I turn Surround off, it's unplayable. I took some wadding out but the subwoofer still sounds like it's blown/bottoming out even at low volume (any volume really).

2024 3.0 with all the packages*

Ideally, the wadding is supposed to line the cavity, not fill it. While it may.. erm, sound like an incredible coincidence, the speaker may be blown in and of itself - I don't think there's any reasonable way the wadding could make that happen but it may have just highlighted an underlying issue with that sub?
