Depends on distance of course but I got mine 650 miles for $700.How much was the shipping in a enclosed trailer?
Who was that through? What company? Are they a actual shipper of broker? Would you recommend them?Depends on distance of course but I got mine 650 miles for $700.
I think it was through Montway. I just went online and filled out 4-5 shipping quotes sites and waited for the emails to roll in. Prices varied from 650 to 2K.Who was that through? What company? Are they a actual shipper of broker? Would you recommend them?
Thanks.
I think you're right. I guess I'm just old school, want to see the car in person prior to pulling the trigger. Even with new cars it's amazing how items may be damaged. Very minor imperfections but not what you want on a $50k-60k car. I showed them pricing for an a91 out of state and got the typical response of "I sure wish I was buying supra's for whatever they are" The dealer I was trying to work with has like 40 some dealerships across the nation, I'm sure they are getting the best price as anyone. It's just frustrating when you're trying to just pay msrp for something and that's not enough in their eyes no matter if I showed them proof of others selling for $4k-$5k less than msrp. The local dealer here wanted to play both sides. That’s why I had worked with the dealership over 3 states away. Car buying is different now than it was back then. Negotiate, finance and sign all online. Delivery coordination sucks but worth it if flying wasn’t an option.
I have bought a lot of cars. I have never had such a hard time trying to get a test drive. My Porsche and Corvette dealers just hand you the keys and tell you to have a good time. Honestly it's less work test drive a Ferrari or Lambroghini. I am dead serious. I would never ever buy a car I did not drive first. Toyota dealers are something? It's a joke. They want you to commit to buying before letting you drive one. Most don't allow test drives of new Supras. Those dealers will NEVER get a chance to sell me anything. I eventually test drove a a 2020 and a 2021. But it was work.I think you're right. I guess I'm just old school, want to see the car in person prior to pulling the trigger. For those of you that are buying out of state. Were you able to test drive the supra locally or just went with it?
My dealer just gave me the keys and said, have fun.I have bought a lot of cars. I have never had such a hard time trying to get a test drive. Walked in to a local dealer with an M2 and got treated better than at multiple BMW dealerships and they tossed me the keys to the car in the main showroom. No kidding, I went and test drove a Porsche this weekend and it was easier to get a drive than a supra. Just like you said, they wanted to work a deal and come to an agreement prior to letting me test drive. I told them I don't know if I even want it without driving it but that doesn't mean anything. They also had it marked up $5k over sticker, went back and forth a few times, couldn't come to an agreement. They were trying to give me way to little on a trade. Walked out with them knocking their markup down to $2500 over msrp, got out to my vehicle to leave and salesman calls and says he can do msrp but still didn't want to budge on trade.I have bought a lot of cars. Was it just one they had in stock since yours had to be ordered and shipped? My dealer just gave me the keys and said, have fun.

Yeah. I drove one already on their lot.Was it just one they had in stock since yours had to be ordered and shipped?
Interesting.. What is your source for this? Wasn't sure if you work for a dealer or what not?Rumor is that next month 2021s will start receiving incentive rebates
I don't think it matters what you drive there. I drove over to one dealer in my 911 C4S. The dealer did not want to let anyone drive it. It was their only Supra and they did not want any miles on it. Another dealer had their only Supra roped off. Some dealers think the Supra is a exotic. lol.Walked in to a local dealer with an M2 and got treated better than at multiple BMW dealerships and they tossed me the keys to the car in the main showroom. Dealers with used Supras. Surprisingly there are a lot of used 2020 and even 2021s being traded with a few thousand miles on them. I have seen used 2020 Launch Editions with less then 1K miles on them. One 2021 only had 600 miles on it before it was traded.Which dealers were good enough to let you test drive them?
Nov is only a few days away, we will know soon. It would not surprise me considering there are a lot of brand new left over 2020s with $3K-$5K incentives and 0% still unsold. Plus winter is here.Interesting.. What is your source for this? Wasn't sure if you work for a dealer or what not?
