With ISTA, is that using the standard sub for Techstream Lite or the Professional?

Pretty sure standard. It's been awhile. I didn't spend crazy $$ like a Pro account would be.

Yeah standard 2 day sub is $30 vs $80 for the pro 2 day sub. Well worth it if you need to relock and do not want to go to the dealer.

It's the CVN mismatch that will kill you. That is what CA and MA currently check.

I know for a fact MHD does not spoof the CVN as I have done a before/after check.

Before/after flash:

Keen eyes will also notice the unlock value changes too. hahah. Originally Autotuner unlock and when flashed by MHD it now thinks it's a FEMTO unlock.

If you use the “flash back to stock” option on MHD, does it restore the Cal ID and CVN to OEM?

An update to MHD claims no need to bench unlock after flashing back to stock

It would be in one of these vendor's best interest to let someone revert their ECU back to stock for testing then offer to re-unlock for free, if needed.
It would attract ALL the CA peeps, but only if it works. Which is maybe why they don't. Lol

I was told by both AT and Femto that this would in fact bring it back to OE spec checksum, CID, CVN, etc. But with their new unlock, you can still unlock it afterwards so that's a good thing for Cali people or anyone dealing with Smog. Can't confirm it tho, someone wanna try for us?
