If these 23' numbers are in the ballpark of being correct, what did they change between the 21'/22s and the 23' model years? I know what changed between 20' and 21'/22', and the resulting differences in whp.
I get it that no two dynos are the same but I haven't seen any stock 21'/22' put down more than 400whp.
what am I missing?
The 21-22's were already dynoing around ~390whp. The rest of the difference is probably just the fact that manuals don't lose as much power through drive train loss.

Having said that, I doubt this car is making 420whp, but I have seen a few manual 23's right around the 400 mark.

Ah, good point. Forgot those numbers are from the manual.

I got dyno tested on my A91-MT (stock) on 91 octane (95 RON) which is the highest octane number in my country
I got these results

Because they aren't correct. Go by the trap speeds. They make around 360-380, which is the same as all the 21+

Agreed, but they are all pretty close. Probably putting out a bit less than 400 on the manuals.

Here is another one. Right around 400 at the wheels.

2023 GR Supra MT DYNO
Here is another dyno video of a 2023 MT supra but it's making 375whp and 451tq.

I'm just going to dyno my Supra when I have free time and see what I get because we all know dyno results vary. Too many different variables.

Ive always seen 400 - 410 hp stock on dyno, 440 sounds like a piggy back like JB+ or JB4 on map 2

Too many variables to have one set number: different fuel quality, air pressure, temperature, variability from engine to engine and exact drivetrain loss, dyno calibration to name the big ones.

If you want a more accurate number, you'd need to find an engine dyno.

Underrating hp numbers equates to higher sales volumes, due to lower insurance premiums.
who the fuq decides whether or not to buy a car based on insurance premiums? Are you like 16 years old and scraping by?

Why would you want to pay more for insurance when there is a loop hole to avoid it.... it's not about being able to pay it. I just don't want to. I rather keep my money for other things.

Certain markets charge more to plate a car to based on power output so there's that.

This. I couldn't care less what power is listed on the marketing materials... it's how it drives that matters. Plus even if you're into 'dyno-flexing' - well then you've got actual dyno runs to back up whatever it is you're claiming... right?!?

Then again I've always been that way... you can give me the title of "Company Asshole" and as long as my paycheck is bigger than whoever has "VP of Marketing" on their business cards - I'm perfectly happy. :D
