On a BMW WhatsApp local chat, one guy tracks his S58 engine BMW and was asking about spark plugs. I was gonna chime in with why not just replace the coil pack with the spark plugs for a track car. Only because monkey see monkey do, thinking of my prior track cars. Then he mentioned they were over $1500 ? ?. So I’m glad I kept my mouth shut.

But… Does that sound right?!? That would definitely make me think 2x about getting a S58 engine car. Then I started thinking, oh shit… How much do they cost for our B58? Quick look online and found this:

https://www.urotuning.com/products/...-1-12138643360-bri-kt6?variant=42104763678913

$264 for a full set. But it says for B58 and S58. Does that sound right?!? Interchangeable for both? If so, it makes this car more attractive. Despite looking like it was designed for the next transformer movie.

No reason to replace a coil pack unless it’s bad. Unless you like throwing money away.

So the new M2 looks okay in black, because literally everything horrible is hidden… lmao

Further ruining of the M2 with the M Performance Parts ?‍♂

I would literally be ashamed to drive around with those side pieces installed…

This. I ALMOST got a Type R in black many years ago, when it came out for this same reason. Then I was like wtf am I doing? Then waited a couple years and got a Supra.

Black does look best in this car. But I live in hot as hell Florida ?

Wife getting the car itch. I really wanted her to keep the GTi for the 2019 manufacturer six year warranty they were doing that year only. Our dealer is stellar in Ft. Myers. So it’s kinda a no brainer to keep the GTi. And it’s like an SUV (for us) taking tires & stuff to the track. Plus it’s paid for and market finally cooling down on cars, interest rates are high, uggggghhhhh….

My wife has the car bug too. We were seriously looking at a lightly used Fiat 124 Spyder Abarth a month ago, like to the point of almost hitting "submit" on Carvana but the interest rate was absolutely outrageous.

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on this. But REALLY trying to wait to see what the 2024 announcement is for the Supra...

My detailer got one of the first M2’s in NJ. The thing in person looks really good TBH. I’m still leaning towards a G82 as i really prefer the M4 and having AWD but the M2 is pretty nice also

Here's a photoshop with a body colored front lip. Makes a big difference for the better IMO:

Mine will be at the port in about 1-2 weeks. Brooklyn gray, 6spd, carbon buckets ?

my brother works at bmw so I was able to get my hands on their first customizable one. (He gave IND the baby blue one)

keeping the Supra as well for now. We’ll see which one I end up driving more. I’ve owned my Supra almost 2 years and only have 2900 miles on it ?
