I’m running 0W-20 factory spec. I’m stock for now and was chasing a vanos code that I thought might relate to the thicker oil causing issues but it’s seeming like a vanos central bolt replacement so once that happens I might go to a heavier oil

I'm running Amsoil 0W-20 in my tuned MKV. I just trust Amsoil as a company more than any other brand. I put Mobil 1 Racing 4t in my motorcycle though.

X2 on this stuff. Makes the engine idle more quietly. More suitable for higher temp areas.
