Was this in drag mode? I haven't seen any of these issues and I've been beating on the car pretty hard since the first day I flashed stage 3.
We all have the same configuration.

* Stage 2
* RPM Max
* Always start in 2nd

Weird. I’m running stage 3 with all custom settings off minus the 3 ->2 shift change. I’m not running into any of these issues and I just beat the hell out of it at NJMP. I did notice the kick down thing but I just stay off the kick down for now.

In fact I was really happy with the transmissions behavior. Very few shift blocks, when I did grab a gear too soon it seems to keep it in memory for longer and applies the shift when it can. Up shifts were fast and aggressive. Changing gears mid corner didn’t upset the car nearly as much as it used too.

Are any of you that are having issues using sport plus? I only use sport mode.

Hopefully what ever issues are going on get fixed quickly.

What is the "kick down"?
If you push the pedal "past" WOT you can feel a 'click' with your foot. That's the kickdown switch. At some speed/rpm combinations, it'll kick down to a lower gear.

No one drag racing messes with bimmercode stuff, especially Sport+ -- it seemingly has an effect on timing, it's a different factory map.

None of the issues we're all experiencing happen under load, it seems to all be during staging/launch/burn-out, etc. It's highly likely a lot of this stuff was tested on the road and not at the strip.

Interesting. I wonder if xHP didnt beta test it with any drag racers? Either way hope you guys get it sorted quickly :thumbsup:

That's why a lot of us were hesitant..
Yeah that makes complete sense. You'd think they would give it to a few of you guys or at least the major tuners to use on their own cars or something. Pretty silly. I know they are in Germany and I assume drag isnt as popular but thats a pretty major oversight.

I like to do a mix of manual and automatic shifting. When running stage 3 in sport, anytime I switch from manual to auto, the trans wants to drop like 3 gears, no matter how aggressive I’m driving the car. Stage 2 provides the perfect amount of downshift. Is there a way to make stage 3 act more like stage 2 (auto downshift), but still retain the fast up shifts?
So drove around a bunch yesterday and checked this out. Did not notice this behavior. I usually run about one gear higher in M than what the transmission would put me in, too, because car go burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Do you know what exact conditions are causing the issues? I ask because i flashed stg 3, ive done a burn out ending with it rolling forward, then backed up, lined up where i wanted, shifted to 2nd (i dont use 2nd gear take off from xhp) and then launched the car, no issues with me on stg 3. I am using sport mode, not sport + as Payn told me not to. I do know on v1.1, sport+ with the traction totally off it was reverting back to stock tuning on the trans, V1.0 doesnt have that bug and the 3-2 downshift is fine for me with 17% reduction in blip. so thats what i run.

The being locked in park is a big red flag for me. I will continue on the sidelines for now with my popcorn. :popcorn:

Thanks to all who are beta testing. Hopefully XHP releases a new revision soon.

I heard a few guy at race wars in Ennis Texas this last weekend encountered issues with their trans w/ XHP. I think I will sit back and wait for bugs to be fixed. Just can’t afford a catastrophe.
