I’ve had multiple southbend clutches in the past on other cars and they were always great.

--Update--
I got in contact with the US based UniClutch rep who was very knowledgeable and very nice to talk with. I found out that the Youtube review on a MT supra is the CEOs personal car used for R&D. The rep also let me know a lot of work and re-tooling was needed to create the center spline due to the larger output shaft BMW\Supra has. I am going to order one up and will create a install video and review. The clutch is most likely 2-4weeks out but will post updates. I feel if this clutch has the street manners from the video then this will be another contender to the CM twin disc at a much lower cost.
Any further updates?

I am on a jb4 and mine just started slipping today at 9000miles … 1000 tuned
Got it. So basically it’s just a matter of time for manual drivers who start pushing more than stock power.

I got the Uni Clutch in the mail, but they basically screwed me over.

I confirmed with their reps over 3 times if there’s anything I would need other than the clutch for the install, and they said no.

Come to waiting a month for clutch and getting it, they apparently need a fitment plate that they sell that I would need to mount the clutch.

They never said I would need a fitment plate, and they confirmed that everything I would need would be included with the clutch.

Upon receiving the package, there was nothing in there other than the clutch itself. Not even the alignment kit for it or anything.

Currently going through their support to see what’s going on.

Sounds like the typical snafu dealing with people selling a product new to them. I assume you're not dealing with Uni Clutch directly. BTW you don't need any alignment tooling if thats what you mean. It comes assembled and aligned. You do need the "fitment or adapter kit" though which the retailer should be aware of. Thats after all why it's a Universal clutch.

Given that the drivetrain is essentially BMW, I think it is best to determine what is working well for other B58 powered cars, of which there are quite a few, and determine what makes the Supra any different from them in terms of clutch fitment.

It seems that application to the Supra isnt on their radar, or an afterthought amongst some clutch manufacturers.

I've also been looking for evidence of what works for the MT S58 BMW M cars since they make quite a bit of torque and power too.

That said I reached out to a few more folks, here is the latest. Basically, development is in work.

Would be nice to get some tuner shops who test and tune these cars to chime in but seems like its up to us to step up and see what works.

Xclutch
https://www.xclutchusa.com/
-Got email confirmation they are working on it for the Supra, will announce on social media when available.

DKM
https://www.dkmclutch.com/
-Working on other B58 BMWs, they need a test Supra (someone should volunteer, they emailed me asking if I wanted to)
-I emailed 22rpd (BMW shop in Seattle, WA area) and they claim these work well in high hp cars:

PTB
https://www.ptb-shop.de/?cPath=97_103_237&cat=c237_B5830A-b5830a.html&language=en
-Email response to me confirms products for B58 but I'm not absolutely sure on Supra fitment
-New product is CNC dual mass flywheel, twin disc setup
-CES Motorsport emailed me, says they work well in G80 cars and they list it as a clutch option on their 700+ hp supra build package

What sort of ft/lb are you running?
Street use, or track/drag?

:)
I dunno I have a custom Jesse tune and then I added meth and turned it up myself … it is only slipping between hard 2-3 and 3-4 shifts while racing… driving it feels great but I need to change it cause I still have ti turn it up a little bit more

I also have pushed my jb4 6mt harder than anyone else and it only started slipping the past week when it really started getting turned up

-Don't see anything supra specific but maybe can cross reference to other BMW B58 or other platforms

I ran both of the Sachs options in my modified M140i (roughly 500whp).
The milder option started slipping on track, so I switched to the puck style one.
It had no issues holding whatever I threw at it, but was pretty horrible for daily driving. Very aggressive engagement.

Do you know if it will fit the supra? Thanks
