But it's not, nowhere in those two logs is the HPFP maxed. 126* is max.
I knew i wasn't great at this, but am i really that off base here?

Isn't 128 degrees the mechanical limit? I can see i hit 122.3 at one point on one of the logs, at around 4,500 RPM. That's 95.5%

122 isn't 126. ;) Also it's for a very small blip and because of a boost spike since the boost control is such ass. I would say that tune needs a lot more love before the HPFP gets blamed for shutting down the party. :)

There are also good strategies for giving the HPFP more headroom in those areas, but that is not currently being utilized in the tune.

Ok so I'm glad I'm not completely crazy and incapable of reading data, even though my interpretation was way off and lacked context.

Yeah just a blip in the mid range. That's actually comforting. Thanks

As this is Sameh, and I have to give him the benefit of the doubt....am I chalking this one up to just it being V1 or is there something in there that should worry me? As in, maybe even V1 shouldn't look like this.

Looks like Im gonna have to run this map tomorrow. Fek

Yes, that is why I am stating what I am stating, I know it's a work in progress. Although, from my experience, that boost control ain't going to change. ;)

Thanks, appreciate it. Will post the V2 logs when I get the next map.

In the meantime I'm going to do something I should've done long ago and and spend a bit more time learning how to interpret the data. The number of wrong conclusions I drew today is a bit wild. (Before even posting here....)

Race done and dusted, and that was one of the most eventful evenings i've had in a while.

Not even sure where to start with this one.

Got the revised map an hour before the race started. Plenty of power, but the boost came on quite abruptly and was quite difficult to deal with. To make things worse, i could not get any heat at all in the tires. We're talking 125F. So with the boost coming on a bit abruptly and the tires being cold, oof, it was a handful. I don't recall ever having been this terrified in a car.

First session outlap....i felt a strong shudder from the front under braking after the main straight. Initially thought it was the brakes, but i felt it elsewhere. And then again. And yeah, it was my splitter. It was very loud. Looks like the beating my splitter took before i raised the car did a number on the hardware or something, because that thing just wanted to fly off. Ended up getting smashed before i could pit. RIP splitter. Completely gone.

Ended up in P2 with no splitter and a terrifying car on cold tires.

I really wanted to get away with a 30 sidewall tire, but it just isn't working out. I was planning on trying the 295/35 setup, but at this point i think i really have to. Too much of a risk at the limit.

edit: what warm temps are you guys targeting on the track for your 200tw tires?

Edit 2: warm pressures obv not temps. Derp

Some users on their experience with their racebred front splitter

Yeah, between myself, mike from bossboss, traxion, a whole bunch of guys on FB, and now TBK having a catastrophic failure of his splitter, I am withdrawing my recommendation of racebred until they revise their design to get rid of the cables.

What would you get instead with what you now know? I was leaning racebred and using pro awesome in lieu of the cables.
OP, what do you plan to replace the racebred with?

Personally, i am using racebred+proawe for now until this splitter blade dies. If i could go back in time, i would have told myself to wait for AJ hartman.
