Since you are talking about "3 pages of instructions", we assume that you are referring to us.
Why so much anger and harsh words? Have we offended you in any way?
So most of the actual questions I had asked in my messaging and emails were not answered in specific. I only recieved a generic email with a list of general information and excessive directions imo just to send the ecu and hope that it doesnt get sent back to me due to a misplaced letter or number in the address and loose out on shipping cost. Which the email states if anything is filled out incorrectly you will not accept it. Most of us could easily make that mistake since we are not Russian. that made it seem unclear, half hazard, and extremely non personable. To me it's a big red flag when a business makes it difficult to speak to someone directly over the phone and/or email that's not generic and actually feels like a true communication. I have yet to have an opportunity for that yet despite my efforts. Then the only way to pay is through bank wire transfer or swift. In my opinion it's a lot of drama and the complete opposite of what a business should do to recieve business and earn trust. And of course now more then ever its a huge risk sending an ecu over there right now. I know the political b.s. not your fault but unfortunately it's the situation we are all in together and it honestly doesn't seem like you guys care to make an effort to find solutions to work around it at all for the communityas a whole. I want to state this is only my opinion based on my own personal experience and I am not saying in anyway that your company has done anyone wrong in any way at all to anyone during any business transaction. It's just me voicing my opinion on the matter. In all honesty though it would be a wise decision to make an genuine effort so that people don't have to send their ecu across the globe. If you already are then that great. You should communicate that to the community. If not then say that as well. Either way the situation isn't getting any easier for people to feel comfortable sending out their ecu and if you don't capitalize on the opportunity someone else eventually will. Sorry if my statements didn't sit right with you but I say what I felt needed to be said. I truly wish you guys the best.

I am sure going through PPE will most likely be very simple and straight forward for you. They will be the ones doing the leg work for you. My experience was reaching out to femto directly.

You're not. Just ship it to their shop with your VIN in there and let them know it's on the way.

It’s pretty dope to have Femto on these forums now they have done lots to clean up the misinformation here…

now if only you guys could just fly over Vlad or one of the boys post up in a USA address to do your unlocks here.

reducing shipping costs would lower prices on the tuning services from many vendors who are utilizing the Femto unlock process, but have to budget for insane international shipping prices.

Hi Jake, we've reviewed your email and response you've got. We decided to answer you here because we want to bring this information to other forum members as well.
You've asked us 3 questions - pricing, shipping, tuning availability (in short).
Our "general information" email contains:

(part 1) - pricing and tech details/limitations about our unlock which can be sent to your tuner so he can decide which option is best for you

- tuning options availability based on our cooperation with popular flasher platforms, since we are preloading their custom code (if available) - this part is most generic and asking you to reach tech support of the flasher of your choice and ask them what they can provide for you after our unlock. This is not because we are lazy, that's because everything is changing very quickly and direct communication is always the best.

(part 2) - shipping details, in this part we are asking you to pay great attention while filling paperwork because international shipping requires all info to be complete and filled without major mistakes. It's not our whim, this info was made to keep you out of the problems with our customs, we can solve some questions with them, but some are not - that's why we are notifying you that in some cases we can't accept parcels with wrongly filled paperwork (again - this is not our whim, hope for your understanding).

(part 3) - payment details. Yes, it's wire transfer also known as swift. We are completely tired of using PayPal because it seems like their "decision making dept" consists of monkeys jumping around the room doing random decisions each time, worst part you can't get any clear answer except "please read agreement" - they are the kings of generic answers.

We created our notice to shorten email conversation times, because most of the questions are already answered there and we (and you) can focus on more specific questions. This was not intended to scare you, but to provide full info about our services in one message.

Also you've asked us about tune specifics/price - we can't answer this question, because we don't provide tuning, and this question should be directed to your tuner because he knows better what and how to do.

Not a drama at all. There would be a drama if we only provided the address and payment info, then you would be left in a "go and guess what to do next" situation.

That's true, we don't like this situation as well as all other normal people in the world.

What if I will tell you, that some time ago we provided a demo of our product to one of the popular US forum user/influencer and guess what's happened? Some time later, a product appeared that was very similar to ours, but at the same time was the pride of its "creator" from the USA. Lesson learned.
Of course we are trying to find best solution this time, but we are very limited in options to get this done. We already done many improvements to our unlock, first it was like one-time-programmable, then we've added obd flashing support, now some of the popular flasher platforms are joined.

Thank you for your feedback, we'll try to prepare more detailed answers in the future, and we are sorry that you found our initial answer non-personalised or non-informative. Some users of this forum have successfully sent their ECUs to us for unlock or cloning, and everything went without issues. We hope that you'll tune your car finally and you will be satisfied with the increased (and safe!) power output made by flash tune.
I appreciate you taking the time to explain your position here and clarify things within your capability. I understand you guys have unlocked and cloned many ecu successfully, gotten them back to the states safely, and that is awesome. I really do want to do business with you however given the current circumstances as of today's date I unfortunately feel the need to wait for further advancements and the situation to evolve into one that makes things available domestically which will reduce risk and provide a conventional approach of transaction. I hope you can understand this and take it into consideration as decisions are made to grow your company and expand. Assuming that is a goal of yours. Thank you again and I wish you guys the best.

I’m not a news watcher in this bear market, so please educate me. Will Russia completely stop receiving any packages when they invade? I can’t picture it will really have an affect. Correct me if I’m wrong
We have yet to know - nothing has been announced as of yet. My company is already telling folks to get ready to pause any type of product shipment to Russia.

I think the bigger challenge or risk is that insurance becomes even more expensive or that shippers decline to insure anything being shipped to Russia. That and even more delays.
