Any post cat detonation is usually from passing extra fuel and spark on deceleration. I’m sure its not the best for your exhaust system long term but hey the “Cool Factor” is worth it. ?Hello Everyone,
I have question regarding Tuning the car to make extreme burbles via Ecuteck,
does that effect the car in a bad way or is it just increase in volume and it wouldn't harm the car in the long run?
thanks everyone for your time!
Agree to disagree on this one, I'd love to have a tune that kills burbles completely.but hey the “Cool Factor” is worth it. ?
If you get an EcuTek tune you can turn them off completely with your phone anytime you want. I only turn mine on for party tricks. ?Agree to disagree on this one, I'd love to have a tune that kills burbles completely.

Yes, it can damage your cats if you do too much. If you're catless then it doesn't matter.Hello Everyone,

I was actually going to post a thread with the following question, then saw this thread so I'll try here:I recently got ecutek tune and I only leave on a slight burble in normal mode and zero burble in sport mode. I’m not gonna lie, every time I’m about to into a tunnel I max out burble to satiate the inner kid in me. I’m just glad it can be fully adjusted from none to bonkers with my phone. Im catless but I’m even getting annoyed with others doing ridiculous burbles at all times of the day and I decided to turn mine off while driving.
You need to reach out to your tuner. There must be some override that resets at startup. Mine stays where I have it set even when removing OBD bluetooth interface.I was actually going to post a thread with the following question, then saw this thread so I'll try here:
I have Ecutek and ecuconnect app, Marintuned stage 2 ots right now. His tune completely got rid of all the burble as default. I agree it's annoying to have it maxed all the time, but I'm likely sticking with the catted downpipe and oem exhaust-so I want some of that to remain.
The issue is with the ecuconnect: whenever I adjust the burble aggression to my liking, then shut the car down for more than a minute or so, it completely resets to zero burble on next startup. I cant get it to keep the adjustment. I have to connect the app and adjust it every start, which is becoming a chore. Is this by design?? Seems ridiculous if it allows adjustments and resets them every shutdown. Any tips?
detonation happens after the cat, not before.Yes, it can damage your cats if you do too much. If you're catless then it doesn't matter.
