@kyle9 are you going to try this once it's avail?
https://www.spacershop.com/en/product/osgiken-toyota-supra-b58-self-locking-differential/

would love more consistent lock/unlock behavior
The OSG for the Supra has been available for a while from a few different shops (anybody who builds BMW diffs can make you one), I might try one in our 2.0 Supra since OSG uses stock axles which is nice.

I think the Drexler is probably a bit better but requires new axles to be compatible. I’ve got the Drexler + Doteki diff cover with KMP axles from Doteki going in my 3.0 in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully will improve the “squirrelliness” and unpredictability of the ediff and put power down better!

So...I guess I'll make a less sweeping statement and qualify it a little. Every set of Hawk, Carbotech, Raybestos, and CSG race pads that I've ever used on the street dusted like a mofo.

Of course, but not every dust is the same. The CSG dust with a ton of iron getting embedded in the paint, way more than PMU pads. This is also why I stay away from Hawk and Carbotech. Carbotech is just trash overall.

I wish Raybestos made pads for our Supra. The ST43 and ST45's were my go-tos on previous cars.

Side note: they make the ST-43 for my new car. Front and rear brakes are exactly the same. So I could even rotate brake pads if I wanted to lol
Bonus, they're cheaper than they were for the Evo or the Supra ????

As y’all know, love my Hawks, hence I keep going back to them. It’s the feel and price for me. I also have PPF and for some reason (maybe all the FL rain or my forgiving wife washing the car), I haven’t noticed any worse dust than any other race pad. But after I burn through my 2 sets, I wanna try those project mu’s 4sho! Between you and Wes and many others positive reviews. CSG - I just can’t pull the trigger for thousand dollar pads. To each his own :)

I just got some Motul Gear 300 GL-5 75W-90 (85 is recommended in the manual) - same as Bryan’s. It has a higher temp viscosity. Conversely a lot of the BMW race kids use that as well, even down here in ? Florida. Maybe I’ll try the mega high 140 someday. Almost 8k miles and she’s up in the air. So why not…

My first real race pads were Hawk Blues...and they embedded themselves in EVERYTHING, so I know that pain. I had pretty good luck with the DTC-60s on my E36, but I also worked pretty hard to keep that car clean, since it was legit nice.

Carbotech - I have mixed feelings towards them as a company and their products. When I lived in NC, I had a good friend who worked there under the original owner when they put out the old school XP8/XP10/XP12 compounds. I had good success with them on my Miata and RX8. New ownership took over, screwed over my friend, and in my opinion, lowered the quality of the products. I won't buy from them or G-Loc, as both are the same family.

Raybestos - Yep, I'd switch to ST-43s in a heartbeat. We run them on the LeMons Mustang, and a good friend has been using them for years on their DA Integra LeMons car. We did a back to back comparison this past weekend on the Mustang - Old DTC-60s vs old ST-43s. Hands down, the ST-43s are better in every way.

Any1 did fender/wheel louvers in hood color? All I see is carbon/black ones, wonder how it would look like colored. Dont wanna add next black spot onto the hood and wondedring is should order or not...
I guess aero benefit is minor, mostly helps with brake temps right?

Raybestos are the bee's knees. There's a reason why so many people use them in different competition series.
The car I'm replacing the Supra with has ST43s avail, so I'm STOKED. Front and rear uses the same pads so I can move them around, if needed. Oh. And they said CHEAP. I can't wait to go back to using Raybestos.

Thanks for the response.

Manifold should be an easy install but I'd like to avoid a hood vent as I'd prefer not to cut into the body if avoidable, but we'll see. Have plenty of time to decide.

Need to find a set of 18 x 10.5 wheels as well. Apex only offers 18x10 or 18x11 for the Supra, so need to figure out if 18x11 square makes sense, or I'll have to find a different vendor for a 10.5.
Enkei GTC 02 18x 10.5 +35 rims just got mine took a while from japan

Thx pal! I can’t remember and running to work. Are those the ones to get, club sports? Highest heat tolerance from them. Similar to Hawk DTC 70 or 80? Asking and I still have 2 sets of DTC 60/30s ? But can never have too many brake pads ;)

I also said fock it and changed the rotors as well. They sat off season in salty SW FL, did a full double duty with wife same weekend and rotors are cheap (relative speaking on rockauto). So now with new pads, rotors, fluid and rubber ?- I’m dying to get out there in Dec!!!!!! Have a full day at Sebring Dec 8th. No run groups. Just in and out as much as you like. Then regular weekend run with Chin Motorsports. 3 day in a row of bliss ?
