That's interesting, the stage 1 package is relatively inexpensive too...

the fun part. Only like 2K manuals have been made so far lol. Not a lot of cars when you think about it for aftermarket companies to invest creating new parts. Hopefully 2025 brings another ~1k or so MTs so it makes sense for more investment into the MTIs the CM FX1000 not a sufficient upgrade, or is it too extreme? I am too shocked at the lack of options out there, but the CM seemed to be the first and best option. I wasn’t aware that you had to run their flywheel, as someone commented earlier. I typically prefer to run stock flywheels with the upgraded clutch.
Well, following the thread as im sure soon enough I’ll be experiencing the same slip after adding 3 TQ.
Some days I really kick myself for insisting on a new manual instead of a used auto, though I just can’t imagine enjoying these cars without clutches lol
Stage 2 kit has a peak torque rating of 545ft-lbs. Stage 1 is 430ft-lbs, I'd opt for the stage 3 (671 ft-lbs) to be safe, but I don't want to be the test dummy lolThat's interesting, the stage 1 package is relatively inexpensive too...
I called Spec and two reps gave me two different answers. My local shop told me to call Spec because they always recommend their clutches and the first rep told me yes when I am ready to submit the order. When I followed up on the email, the new rep told me that they don't make an A90 (Z4) clutch yet. I'm kind of confused if they do or don't, but I might try again.
Hence a key component of the Uniclutch business philosophy.the fun part. Only like 2K manuals have been made so far lol. Need someone with deep pockets and lots of time to buy them all, try them out and then give a detailed review!Stage 2 kit has a peak torque rating of 545ft-lbs. Stage 1 is 430ft-lbs, I'd opt for the stage 3 (671 ft-lbs) to be safe, but I don't want to be the test dummy lol
Have u broken in? Did they give you an idea of how much torque it can hold?I have the FX400SS 8puck but it has less than 50 miles on it due to other issues right now. (https://www.supramkv.com/threads/clutch-slipping-issues-and-warranty-denial.22940/)
For now the pedal is much stiffer than I'd like as I daily the car. I haven't broken it in yet so I will get back to you on how it feels.
I wondered the same. In other news, whose gonna be the first to try X-clutch when they release it?!Anyone know if the Motiv twin disc for the B58 fits the Supra?

Sucks to hear but thanks for the report. Seems to be no good options for mid power yet.tl;dr don't get the fx350zz either
I just want to add my input again but in this thread for info.
DD/FBO/91/meth/bm3 custom tuned
10k miles clutch never slipped.
Emailed CM about my goals with the car and want to push more, they advertise FX350zz was perfect for my needs otherwise their Twin disk FX1000 was ideal.
I went with the FX350zz + Hydraulic Bearing Release. It felt like a unsprung 6 puck race clutch. Drove it for approximately 500-800 miles don't recall exactly to break it in give it a chance but it was terrible for Daily driven let alone street racing. Converted back to stock and kept the hydraulic bearing in, car felt better with pedal feel and eliminating the CDV
