People are starting to recommend the original slave over this HRB. Guess another case in point
In general allows for less pedal effort and shorter throw since the clutches are now stiffer to hold the added power. Although it seems that with CM all you get a fun ride on the tow truck.
Pedal effort is much higher with their HRB and clutch feel is worse. Mine failed twice, the first time during break in when i wasn't even pushing it. Everyone I know who purchased this part had a failure and CM is refusing to refund the customer or their distributor.

Many, many distributors are in the process of dropping clutch masters.

That being said, their actual clutch and flywheel do the job

Exactly the same thing the distributor told me.
Clutch Masters is refusing to refund me and they said to the distributor

see the response from CM below.

"Customer did reach out, told him if he wanted a refund he has to go through the vendor where he ordered and follow their return / refund procedure. I never told him he would get one but I simply told him I could not help him with a monetary refund direct.

For this customer what I can authorize is replacement bearing at no charge OR if he wants to use the factory style bearing and clutch for I can provide him with that bearing. not a monetary refund.

Let me know what he decides."

Wait a minute, FX1000 clutch kit already comes with a bearing for owners that wants to go with OEM fork system?! so what is the new thing here? ?

and one more thing, the wrong part number I received for the surface lock they can’t refund it ?! They mentioned it before and they said it’s ’mispackaging’. Or it’s my fault on this mistake as well?

Your mom is my ride
For 500 lbs ft of torque it seems the DM clutch would be more cost effective, also holds 500 lbs ft

I agree, especially since it's Kevlar, and presumably full faced. I have a full faced Kevlar clutch in my K swapped BRZ and after 15,000 miles upon inspection it looked like it lost maybe 20% of it's life? And that was with a good amount of abuse (clutch kicks, racing, etc). I'll likely go this route with the Poopra once time comes to replace the OEM clutch.

As much as I hat to admit it. It seems like Clutchmasters is the only one on the market right now that can handle big power. I've seen up to 920whp on it. And i've been fine at 700whp for 6000 miles.

Do you have the twin disc on the OEM slave? If so, how much more pedal pressure?

I have the twin disc on the OEM slave and there is barely any more pedal pressure than stock. With the useless HRB pedal pressure was multiple times stock and definitely in the "heavy" category.

PTB is offering many options that even can handle 1000 lbs ft.

I just installed the PTB twin disc clutch with their SMF flywheel. I can’t wait to drive the car really excited. I’m waiting to receive the clutch master cylinder, mine has blown up completely cause of the CM HRB > worst company ever.

great to see more options for our MK5 but 6 puck wouldn’t be street friendly unfortunately and is it sprung or non sprung, missing photos and some details I guess.
I asked them, looks to be sprung. I asked earlier about pedal pressure and the response was “a little more than stock”. I’d be interested if someone does go for the DM.
