I found that the 1000w fan is also on the G series 330e. Happy eBay searching!
Thx as always. I got tired of trying to find them used, so haven't been looking for a while, but I'll add that to my list models to search on.

Sometimes, you'll see it notated with dashes. 17-42-8-666-819

If you do an eBay search on the p/n, be very careful, as they throw in a lot of part #s that do not match. When I was watching closely, there are plenty of resellers who are just selling new units for $1k or so. I found 2 used units, one was gone very quickly, and the other had a bunch of broken tabs on the shroud and was probably pretty beat.

Pretty straight forward swap, although quite a bit of stuff needs to be removed to get access. Just had to swap over the clip on the fan shroud that holds the transmission cooler line.

differences seem to be:

- blade design (as already mentioned)
- shroud housing
- different # shroud flaps and location
- heatsink and motor

Minor bonus, fan is quieter. Haven’t looked at the rotation of the fan, but it looks like the blades are inverse. Putting my hand in front of the grille still feels like the air is still being pulled in and not pushed.

If I had significant heat soak issues or went into limp mode, I’d consider that bad boy. Luckily it hasn’t happened to me. Yet….. I take that back. It’s happened whenever I leave the JB4 on by accident. Otherwise, I’m catless and have minor cooling mods. Such as an upgraded heat exchanger & radiators, Verus heat shield and diff plate, are a few that come to mind. Also change my fluids more regularly with more viscous ones.

Some guys drive in the “summer” down here and went with the Wagner. Which makes sense when it’s well over 100F on track.
Do you have data from before and after the heat exchanger install?

My tuner recommended it, I’m wondering what he saw in the data..
I got one before I knew the gains were too small to make a difference. However, real world data, my wallet is lighter now ?

Has anyone tested different coolants such as VP Stay Frosty or Redline Supercool? In exchange for freeze protection they have a higher heat transfer load with the low or no glycol levels. Online tests i've seen seem promising.

Worth mentioning in this thread that the verus oil cooler is so good that you might actually have to adjust your fan/temp targets to keep your fluids (oil/water) warm enough. Highly recommended

the only coolant you should be using on a track is water+water wetter.

Hope this isn’t too dumb a question. I know some drivers spray water mist onto an intercooler to reduce temps. Wondering if that would help on the radiator. I know the heat transfer would be lower but seems it could still help.
