Some of the articles over this say that other markets will have an "RZ" trim level that will sport the manual transmission along with upgraded wheels to differentiate them from the automatics. Not sure what the US market will call their manual variant, but exciting to see it finally coming out for those that want the MT.From what I heard from my dealership they are going to be offering the manual on the 2023 Supra and there’s a special edition as well but no pricing at this time.

honestly its really not that hard to find a dealer that will sell at msrp. might take time and a bit of a drive but theres always someone thats down to make the sale. got my a91 for $1 less than msrp and ran across multiple other dealers willing to sell at MSRP. It may have been the first a91 in cali that had the factory spoiler installed. received in october 2020. Dont get me wrong though, 90% of the dealers i reached out to wanted 5-10k markup on it with no spoilerYou are high hoping and dreaming big to be able to get a white/red + 6 speed when they launch for Msrp. Expect those to go for $10-20k over sticker
Might be dead? You guys ever worry what parts availability is going to be like after buying an even more scarce MT Supra?
I've already decided to get another Supra in white and if I can have one in MT while keeping my ZF8, that would be superb.. but in this unprecedented times not sure how long parts are going to be available. Even if OEMs say they usually support 8-10 yrs.. who knows. 10 years from now most ICE based suppliers might be dead.
Not to mention that chips and boards will become more scarce (in the short term at least) than they already were since Ukraine was a major refiner/exporter of neon gas to the US. Naturally, we don't make most of the chips here (sigh) but that will put a pinch on all fabs worldwide since the supply is constrained in general. You guys ever worry what parts availability is going to be like after buying an even more scarce MT Supra?

I think a lot of people also forget the huge push for electric cars is coming from developed countries. without a doubt there will be demand for ICE parts/components in parts of the world for decades to come.I wouldn't worry about ICE based suppliers disappearing overall though - very few companies are committed soley to ICE platforms... and regardless of new production - there will be millions of existing cars which will be profitable to support. There's companies which live entirely on producing replica replacement parts for cars from the early-to-mid 1900's.
I wouldn't worry too much. The guy from the dealer meeting said the take rate for the manual will be around 40%. Way higher than the 2.0 at 15%.You guys ever worry what parts availability is going to be like after buying an even more scarce MT Supra?

I'm not sure BMW would even want to offer a manual in the Z4. They only sold two in all of Australia. ?Still doubtful this manual will come to Toyota before BMW gets it for their cars

Yup, but based on that I don't think it's very likely. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I think the audience for both cars seems to be very different. I have a feeling that a manual would be way more popular on the 3.0 Supra vs the Z4.We'll have to see
