Ok dumb question but do you just ship the case as is like that or do you put it inside a box? Seems like it would be so easy for someone to open it up. Maybe do a combo lock and send them the code?

Compared to a reused Amazon box it is. And more so what a low life is gonna think when they see a fancy box and wonder what’s in it.

Previously, you were supposed to keep it unlocked so customs could inspect it on both trips. Otherwise they could send it back or simply destroy it if they felt like it.

Now you can box it up if you feel like it.

Well, both of ours made it there and back without issues. I don’t think I have heard of any DME’s getting lost or stolen and they have done thousands at this point.

Ya’ll act like these things are valuable to others. It’s a paperweight. I guess this is why there are still companies charging so much for the illusion of security.

The harbor freight case I used (Apache 2800) had eyelets on the two front corners of the case. I zip tied those so the case couldn’t be easily or accidentally unbuckled and opened. I also left a bunch of spares inside, and AutoTuner used them when return shipping.
